Sharp, intense shooting pain from bellow button down into your crotch! Its brief, but kinda makes me jump!

Yeah, I've now felt this probably 5 times or so. At first I was a little worried, but after having seen it mentioned on here, I've realized it's a normal thing. What is it caused by exactly, does anyone know? It feels almost like a kick to the cervix, so that's what I had it chalked up to.

You couldn't have posted this at a better time - just had this this evening for the first time and gosh I was so worried something was seriously wrong, glad to hear it's normal.

I, unfortunately, have had it all pregnancy It really does suck. OH always freaks out because I jump, hold my bump and make a really funny face. Sometimes it can last up to a minute for me and usually comes in lots of 3-5ish. Be thankful if you haven't had it because, yikes it's not pleasant at all

Glad this has been posted! I get this sometimes, it's a really sharp shooting pain dwon on my cervix. I just put it down to baby kicking my cervix, but it does make me jump!

Sorry to say but it only gets worse! Baby's head is starting to engage now and some days it's agony lol.

I've been getting it since first trimester but definitely worse now. I find it's the worst when I'm trying to get up out of bed.

Haha funny you should mention it, I had this during my first pregnancy but completely forgot about it until TODAY when I felt that oh-too-familiar feeling. It made me stop in my tracks. I was trying to remember the name of it when I was describing it to my DH but couldn't remember...until I saw your post!! Oh it's so uncomfortable lol
