Is there any compromise you can make? If you end up with no choice in having your baby at a hospital perhaps see what the hospital options are. ine has 'active' birth rooms, where you have bean bags and chairs, a TV, your own bathroom and bath, stereo etc, so you can make yourslef comfortable and feel more at home, intead of feeling confined to a bed.

im not sure yet what my hospital has facility wise, but i know that if i do go in then we will pay for me to have a private room(£50ish anight) and i would want to take my birth ball, music etc. i can live with compromise(providing i get my own way!!)

You ought to contact your hospital and see if they do a tour. ost do them and then you know exactly what they have and how they work, what things you can bring in with you etc, then you at least know what all your options are if things dont go exactly to plan!
