Home hair dyes

I cant afford to go to the hairdressers, so I have to dye my hair at home. I dye it purely to get rid of the grey. I use Nice and easy, but have found it fades after a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend one that may not fade as fast?

I have started using Garnier Nutrisse and this one does seem to hold its colour better.

I use Avons own make, I have had more compliments using these dyes then any other
