home made wraps what fabric to use??

i wanted to try and make my own wrap and i know how much material to use but im not sure what type of fabric to buy, so if anyone has successfully made their own what fabric did you use??

I think thats what she meant?

Do you mean a stretchy or woven wrap?

I used batik for my ring slings -- strong and pretty!

A good woven cotton which stretches slightly in both directions would make a great wrap. Would need to not have any flaws as this weakens the wrap. I have a storchenwiege leo and my MIL has a gorgeous, long pashmina which is made from the same type of fabric and I am determined to steal it from her as it would be perfect as a wrap. I have already tested it in a Double Hammock carry. If you are after a stretchy wrap then a good quality jersey should do the trick so long as it is reasonably thick with a relatively low lycra content otherwise it will sag too much! Hope this helps.
