Does anyone have this and are pregnant now? If so- what medications are you using? My doc seems to think that baby aspirin is enough, but everything I have read tells me otherwise.....Anyone?

Sorry not me - is this MTHR?

I would get a second opinion if your are seeing conflicting info though - you don't need the stress of second guessing and need to feel assured in your treatment.

take care - am sure there must be someone out there with good advice..

Hi HB- yes it is MTHFR. Some docs evidently believe that if this is the only clotting test that comes back abnormal, you only need baby aspirin. Then there are others that believe you need lovenox/heparin. I am meeting with the doc Tuesday I just wanted to have some examples to give them of other women and their treatments once they got pregnant.
Oh- and there is a difference in being heterozygous (which 40% of the population is) and homozygous (12-12%). The heterozygous is not a big deal it seems...

Good luck for Tuesday Amos :)

Amos i also have been diagnosed with this. I am almost 11 weeks pregnant and i take 5 mg folic acid and 80 mg aspirin. My doc doesnt believe that the aspirin will actually benefit but he humors me. I was also worried that i should be taking heparin but i figured that if my doc who has seen me through 2 difficult losses, had any doubt that aspirin wasnt enough he would defo put me on injections. I guess you have to trust your doc or go to someoone else.
