Ok, here it is ladies, I am almost 28 weeks preg with baby number -1
I really want to and hope I can breastfeed.

But, I have implants and have a half circle aeriolar incision so I have been so worried if I will be able to breastfeed or not. I have feeling in both breasts.

Anyway, today I was squeezing them and massaging them as many girls say their breast are leaking at this point. Anyway, I was able to get some liquid come out of both breasts just now and I'm feeling so hopeful, do you think this is a good sign and means that my milk "will come in" and I will be able to beastfeed????

Maybe it's WAY too early to tell but I got excited that something came out!:dohh:

I'm no expert but I didn't leak anything until my milk came in 4 days pp...

I heard that most women after breast surgery can still bf, given there's no loss of breast tissue. But I'm not sure if ur areola incision has disrupted any nerve supply, which may make feeding harder, eg stimulating let down etc.

I think it's an excellent sign when u can get some colostrum now, it means ur breasts are producing! I couldn't get anything out of mine till about 30+ weeks.

Good luck :flower:

Thanks for responding! I appreciate any thoughts on the matter :)

I can't give you a definite answer, but I have a friend with implants who actually found bfing easier than I have, so I'd definitely say it's possible.

thanks for responding! i guess when i saw "something" coming out, i thought, well maybe thats a good sign, but im not sure if all women with implants get anything. I'll ask OB her thoughts. but im excited.

No idea about the implant side of things, but I didn't leak or get anything out until LO was here, so I'd take that as a brilliant sign that you can! Good luck!!
