We have been using the teats they use in hospital. Milupa standard teats, but cant buy them online. My son feeds really well with these but im worried that we cant find a substitute for them when he comes home. Have you found a good comparison
I will post this in the premature baby section too

what shape are they? Are they like the NUK teats? Or Avent? X

they are just standard no frills ones, brown and softer than the clear ones.

We had this and did have a problem when we left hospital ( prem baby) we took some home and slowly weaned her on to tommee tippee ctn x

how did you do that?

With alot of stress ! Trying different positions and teats, she is on size 3 as the other two were too much work for her- I kept trying and eventually one day she just took it and there was no turning back !

I dont know if your hospital ones were but when my LO was in hosiptal they used latex teats and since coming home we've been using silicone teats which little one doesn't seem to like so I've been trying to find some latex ones to order (apparantly latex ones are softer and more skin like). NUK do some latex ones so I might order them

my little preemie baby was used to latex teats in hospital, and we had trouble getting him onto normal silicone ones so we managed to get the nuk latex ones, which you can get in standard or wide neck, (the wide neck ones you can get in most boots stores and the standard ones on nuk website) they're orthadontic shaped ones but my lo took to them really well and fed great from them, we still use nuk now but have moved onto the silicone ones, hope it goes ok, i know how hard it can be x x x

thanks, the nurse said she will give us some when he leaves, after every feed they normally throw them away but I have been saving them also I might of accidently on purpose taken 2 instead of 1 when I feed him!!

one jobsworth nurse said we couldnt re use them but all the other nurses said we could

I don't think its ideal but my mw said it was ok to sterilse them x
