How did you have yours?

#1was EMCS with epidural as like you his hb was dropping dangerously low. #2 was ELCS

Im going to go for ELCS for #2 i think, doc said i can go for natural birth but i don't want the risk, plus scar already there now so makes no difference

Two c-sections both after pushing for hours with no result. Both girls got stuck in my birth canal. When I was pregnant with my first, my doc did an internal exam and based on my bone structure suspected that I would need a c-section. She was right. I was determined and I tried both times to deliver vaginally to no avail.

First one the epidural failed and I felt everything. Second time I was so scared I would feel it again I went into shock on the table. It was scary! Will have my third section in February about a week or so before due date to avoid going into labor. Hoping this one goes smoother than the other two.

DD was breech, I had an "elective" with a spinal.

My waters had been broken for 96 hours with no natural onset of labour. Failed induction after 18hours of extremely strong contractions, didn't even dilate to 1cm! So had emergency caesarean with the spinal block. Had already had epidural inserted after 12hours of pain and no progress I'd had enough lol x

I had normal births with dds. an elective section with ds as he was breech, i had a spinal.

First DS was an emcs due to preclampsia and failure to progress ended up with fluid on my lungs, spent 2 days in icu after birth.

Second DS was an elective CS.

Third DS will be an elective CS.

Mine will be on sept 24th due to type 1 diabetes, pregnancy induced hyper tension

EMC under GA due to DS' heart rate dropping with each contraction. Doctor still pushed for a vaginal but then his heart rate crashed and stayed there. The epi had failed so I had to be put under.

Three failed inductions - dueto high bp. Broke my waters. Got to ten cm dilation before anaesthatist would give me epidural, as he wanted blood results back. Straight after epi, his heart rate was dropping. Tried pushing in the operating room but dropped heart rate again. General anasthetic. Didnt get to say goodbye to DH even.

I was induced w/ Pre-e, emcs with epidural, my LO hb started dropping with every contraction after 8 cms dilated.

No one who's answered this has had an ELCS with a general - wow ! I'll be ticking that box next month!

IF I have second i may well choose ELCS under GA after the traumatic delivery of my LO. Failed at pushing, failed forceps, EMCS with epidural but it wasnt effective so could feel them cutting. Very anxious re delivery second time around. The trouble with GA is you don't get to see your baby for ages

Do you feel able to say why you are having to have a GA?
