Hi,

I'm new to the forums and looking for advice on how to chart my cycle and any recommendations are welcome! Been TTC for over a year and this month have started taking agnus castus and evening primrose oil as my GP did blood tests which showed I was not ovulating. In need of some help!!

Hi,

I'm new to the forums and looking for advice on how to chart my cycle and any recommendations are welcome! Been TTC for over a year and this month have started taking agnus castus and evening primrose oil as my GP did blood tests which showed I was not ovulating. In need of some help!!

How about starting with the free charting course over at Fertility Friend. This is what I took and it's pretty easy to understand, and it's FREE. Ok well if you want you can pay for the extras but I don't.

Fertility Friend is great. Their course is very helpful.

If you want a small dictionary on charting (well, it's about that size, at least), the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility is great. It'll tell you everything you could possibly want to know. I grabbed it from my local library because I'm a cheapskate and it taught me tons.

Besides a chart you'll need a basal body thermometer, which is a more sensitive thermometer. They say the ones from Walgreens are awful, but you can get good ones at Amazon, CVS, Wal-Mart, and other places.

I've been trying to figure this out for months.. I've been reading about some women charting and felt silly. Thanks!

Fertilityfriend.com. It's amazing! And don't buy the Walgreens brand BBT thermometer. I used it for a while and it didn't work very well. I just got the BD brand BBT off Amazon.com. It's so much better.

Sam I see you're in the UK, I recently bought a bbt thermometer from Boots that is pretty good. I agree with what everyone else says about fertility friend - I love it!

I use Pink Pad and Baby Bump on my iPhone. If you don't have an iPhone then fertility friend is brilliant.

I bought a BBT thermometer from my local chemsit, think it was 4 quid or something like that.

The important thing to remember when your charting is to take your temp when you wake up before you get out of bed, even a little exersion like walking to the bathroom can change your temp. Fertility Friend is an awesome website to use and their course talks a lot of sense. I would reccommend buying the book 'Taking Charge of your Fetility' I bought my copy off Amazon and have rarely read a book so many times lol.

Send me a PM if you need anymore help or advise.

Tiger xx
