How do I contact a member directly?

I am trying to arrange payment for a Mei Tai and as I have only registered with this site yesterday it does not seem to let me do this.

Is there a way this can be activated, so that I can pay for the Mei Tai?

I am very confused as to when I am able to reply personally to an item for sale.

Having looked at the site, is it three months before I can buy something, 5, 10 or 50 posts? I can't seem to find anything about it on the rules and regulations, it is just information for general forums, none particular to buy, swap, sell and want forum.

I have been able to reply to the thread but not the person selling it directly.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Can't you just click on the members name and select " send private message"....think that's how I do it

i think you have to have something like 10 posts to send a pm, i might be wrong but i thought you did

you have to have been a member of the forum for 3 calendar months plus have 250 posts in order to participate in the buy, swap sell area
