how do i find out when i registered as self employed?

Hi everyone, im new on here, i am desperatly trying to fill out the maternity allowance form. I was just wondering if anyone knows how i find out when i registered as self employed? it was so long ago i dont remember!

HMRC... give them a ring with your national insurance number
they'll have it on your tax fil

As above but it will take about 10 days to arrive in the post. They won't give you the date over the phone.

I've just filled in my MA form too. I've kept all my paperwork and I just put down a date that I found on a piece of paper saying that I was given the Small Earnings Exemption Certificate as I know that is what I did when I first started.
