enoughs enough?

Noah has 31 presents but it doesn't look much at all and 17 of them are going in his stocking with some other bits so under the tree isn't a lot at all. There's still a couple more things hes asked for which I'm going to get but I don't know whether to stop now or carry on buying and cluttering my house lol! When do you guys stop buying?

Poor Mailie doesn't have much in comparrison but everything thats suitable for her age Noah had and has been past down  She's having a little stocking with things she'll use - dummies, special bib, new cup etc and then a few toys under the tree. For some reason I don't feel as bad not getting her as much lol nasty mummy!

17 stocking stuffers~!! wanna adopt me :) lol
That still leaves 14 presents in my view thats alot,
i never got too many growing up tho :)

I'm beginning to think thats enough too lol! I'm going to arrange them all out later and see from the pile lol!

How much have you spent? Honestly, I'm spending every last bit of what I can afford on Amelie. I know she's only be 1 and not understand it but I want to buy her lots.

I just cant stop. He has 2 sacks full, a stockin full ad a trike. buying more today. It's brandons first christmas and we have decided that if we can afford things then we're going to buy them.

It seems normal to me to have LOADS of presents as my mum always makes a massive fuss about christmas, as she had an awful childhood and xmas was the only good time.

I know its really hard to be like okay it's enough finally...
Last year was the first year I helped play the role of Santa a little for my mom's OH's daughter and I had so much fun! If you want it to look like a ton of presents it's all in how you arrange it too! She was amazed at how much presents it looked like!

17 - presents sounds like a lucky boy!! I bet he'll be so excited

I've said enough. I think Christmas should be more about giving and I don't want to get her used to HUGE Christmases!! I mean, I have a fair amount of gifts bought for her but I'm trying not to go over the top!

Niamh will be having one santa sack of toys, and one stocking. Just as I did as a child. She'll be getting so many toys from family, I don't see the need to go overboard.

I think i must be the xmas scrooge!

17 stocking fillers sounds mad to me! He He

although it is LO's first xmas, from us, he will prob have 10 or less pressies, and no more than £75 in total, and even then i think i am going over the top

We buy stuff all yr though, i just bought a jumperoo last month for instance.

SIL daughter is 3, has soooooooooo many presents that she does not play with, not cos she doesnt like them, just that there are so many to choose from. We bought her some playdoh and discovered 6 months later, she loved playing with it, the ONCE she had got it out!.

Sorry, i digress! - back to OP, enough is when i have spent my budget, or find myself buying presents for the sake of it, that i know he will not enjoy/will be a flash in the pan 5 minute toy.

I wont be going overboard with Alex, will spend about £50 on him as he will only be 5 months old so wont know. I have bought him 2 things already that cost £15

I also know that Nats and ALex will get so much from friends and family.

Well I arranged them out and to be honest there doesn't look a lot and I've hardly spent anything BUT he wants to go on holiday next year so there's 2 other under the tree presents I'm going to get (1 I won on ebay :D) and ones in Boots 3 for 2 so it'll be the freebie ;) and then I need some sweetie things for his stocking and I'm done. I'll probably get Mailie a few more bits although I need to sort Noahs old baby toys out so that might be pointless too!
