How does an OPK indicate a pregnancy?

I did find a website once that explained it very well, preg test test for HCG, OPKs test for LH - the molecular make-up of both is very similar apparently, and an OPK can detect HCG because it's so similar to LH, but it doesn't work the other way round

Its weird because my digital opk had a smiley face on cd16 and now its cd 25 and although theres no smiley face, when I take stick out of monitor a faint 2nd line is appearing whereas there was only one line all week..

Go to www.peeonastick.com . She has all the info on there about it. I do know thought that until you a like 14dpo and already have a BFP on a HPT that you really can't trust the BFP on the OPK for pregnancy.
