How does an OPK indicate a pregnancy?

    I did find a website once that explained it very well, preg test test for HCG, OPKs test for LH - the molecular make-up of both is very similar apparently, and an OPK can detect HCG because it's so similar to LH, but it doesn't work the other way round :lol:

    Hey Annie - you are very knowledgable!! lol
    Its weird because my digital opk had a smiley face on cd16 and now its cd 25 and although theres no smiley face, when I take stick out of monitor a faint 2nd line is appearing whereas there was only one line all week..

    Go to www.peeonastick.com . She has all the info on there about it. I do know thought that until you a like 14dpo and already have a BFP on a HPT that you really can't trust the BFP on the OPK for pregnancy.
