How far along were you when strangers started making comments about your pregnancy?

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and I'm visibly pregnant! No one has said anything. They probably think its fat and they don't want to offend me. Haha

I've just started to get comments from coworkers who didn't know at 23 weeks.

I am 24 weeks and objectively still look chubby in the middle. If I wear a large t shirt, you can't see the bump at all. I am ok with it though. I'd rather be smaller than larger.

I've been getting it in the last two weeks or so, and only once or twice from people who I do know but didn't know I was pregnant. I think though that people are cautious and don't comment in case they are wrong and offend someone. We install car seats at my work and our rule is that we never, ever say "so when are you due?" even if they're ready to pop and getting a rear facing seat installed. We just assume everyone is overweight or has some enormous abdominal tumour ;-)

at work last week when i was 15 weeks, a woman i have checked out all the time since working two years ago there, said "oh my gosh you're pregnant!" and i said yes! and in my head i was thinking 'am i really showing to others right now? is it that obvious? yay!' and she asked how far along i was and how my due date was just around her birthday and in the same month as her two sons.

as for coworkers, some say "awww" at my bump since week 13 but i think it was just the shirt i was wearing that made me look round.

At about 17 weeks a supermarket checkout lady noticed my "bump".
I was extremely thin though after having hyperemesis so it would've been quite noticeable.

I'm 28 weeks and definitely showing, and I've only started getting comments from people over the last few days. Not total strangers (it's cold here and it's hard to tell with a coat on), but people who I see occasionally but don't know well enough to have announced to them. I think people like to be extra cautious about assuming pregnancy.

Last week the woman serving me in Five Guys asked me if it was a boy or a girl. I was 13 weeks!

I'm 25 weeks and still nobody has said anything, when I tell people they usually say 'we thought you were but didn't like to say just in case'. I'm fairly slim and have a very visible bump but I think people just don't want to risk it. I'm the same way, I would never say anything to someone unless I was 100% sure because it would be so embarrassing to get it wrong!

Co workers have been commenting since 16weeks. Strangers started asking me around 2weeks ago... I am pretty huge though, I was with my first as well. Just a massive great big bump. :)

Xxx

16 weeks and no one yet. I wear a lot of slim fit maternity shirts (with the ruching on the sides) so to me it's quite obvious, but you never know, I might just look fat.

No-one can tell yet, still no visually obvious bump yet, I just look fat! lol.:growlmad: Think I was third tri before I started looking more pregnant to people that didnt know me with dd

What are you expecting/wanting strangers to say to you? Does it matter what or when strangers say anything to you??

About 24 weeks the supermarket checkout lady asked when I was due. It totally caught me off guard and I was just like "due?! Due what?! Oh that!"
Making mother of the year already 😳

At 14 weeks, the owner at the gym said something. Then, nothing until today when the Salvation Army guy outside the grocery store asked me when I was due. I'm 16w, 4d but I'm getting big fast because I'm having twins (plus, I'm tall and thin).

I've been getting it more and more, since about 21 weeks. Before that I did have some random comments, as well as tons of people who would stare and look like they wanted to ask but didn't.

A few people have told me they can't necessarily tell just from the size of my belly, but that it's obvious from my posture when I walk. Which is probably not good news for my back, but at least it keeps people from thinking I just hit the donuts and ice cream too hard!

With my DS (who's now 10) I got huge fast! To a point I was sent for growth scans as I was measuring several weeks ahead constantly. By 14 weeks I was in maternity wear and visibly pregNant! This time round ive lost weight since falling pregnant and my pre-pregnancy clothes are too big on me! I can feel a difference in my tummy though, bottom half is hard now and I do see a slight difference in my stomach from my belly button up, its changing shape. I think ill be 20+ weeks before I'm showing this time (at 20 weeks last time I was MASSIVE). As much as I'm desperate for a bump Im happy to be smaller this time as I was crippled with back and hip pain last time and was in back braces by 20 weeks and induced at 38 weeks as I was almost bed bound - I have hyper mobility in my spine and hips though which resulted in this. I booked tickets to crufts next year (not cheap) before finding out I was pregnant and I'll be 6/7 months by that stage so if I'm smaller I'm hoping I'll be in less pain and able to go. Guess there's pros and cons to showing early/late. I Can't wait to look pregnant but I don't look forward to the back ache the bump brings with it. It's movement I can't wait for!! That is the most magical and amazing thing I found about pregnancy. Never got tired of feeling my son move. Loved every bit of that!

I got comments really early on, maybe 12-14 weeks. A woman in Waitrose thought I was due to give birth any day at around 25 weeks. What a boost in confidence that gave me! haha. X

For strangers...I don't think I had any say anything about my bump with my daughter. Though there were a lot more gentlemen out there! Always holding the door open for me. XD Then again where I live though we are one of the most friendliest areas, people still don't stick their nose in strangers business unless it's an emergency then everyone goes to help.

I'm almost 15 weeks this go around and I can tell I'm getting a bump but I don't expect anyone even my friends to really say anything until at least another 10 weeks from now. Except my grandma...when I see her on Saturday. She always has snarky comments when she knows anyone is pregnant. I'm not looking forward to it -_-

I have a massive bump for 14 weeks and the kids at my school are asking me if I'm pregnant. Bear in mind though that they're kids say what's on their mind and don't care if they offend you! I'm quite thin and it's my second so I think I'm showing early this time round because of that.
