We finally went to get Adam some walking shoes today, since he's been up and off for 2 months, and his soft-soled shoes are no good outside in rainy, cold weather.

The lady said to come back in 6 weeks to be remeasured. Is he likely to have gone up a size or a half-size in that time? How many sizes do toddlers generally go up from 12-24 months? He's a 5G right now and I think his feet have had a big growth spurt recently because he fit his 6-12 month Robeez comfortably till he was almost 12 months and they are a UK 1.5-3.

:flower:

Chloe and Jaycee went from a 3g to a 4g in 6 weeks.

Riya was a 3.5G 9 weeks ago and is now a 5G according to clarks.

Wow, Lyla's feet must be TINY! She is only a 3G and she is 15 months, Ive tried 3 times to get her measured for walkers because she has just started walking, but her feet have only grown from a 2.5F to a 3G in 6 months, half a size?? She has now had 2 pairs of cruisers from Clarks, I really want to get her some walkers but they dont start walkers till a 3.5G, so prob be waiting another 6 months!!!!!

haiden had his feet measured when he woz about 10 months old n woz a size 3g. Got them measured again a couple of weeks ago n his now a size 5h. Unfortunately he cant have shoes as they're too heavy for him to walk in :-(

We got my son's first pair of shoes in February. We've had him measured every six weeks since then, and he has gone up at least half a size each time! His feet are huge!! :D

archie grew a whole size in 4 weeks he went from a 3.5g to a 4.5g hes now a 5g and seems to have slowed down

Since Feb this year holly has gone from a 3G to a 5.5H. xx

oh crikey, I shall expect to have to shell out another £28 in 6 weeks' time then.

expensive business, this kid thing.

Argghhh not what I wanted to read lol. We got Earl his first shoes yesterday (11 months 1 week) and he was a 4G. I have no money at the moment so the £28 really was a shell out lol. I shall put some money aside ready for late November! lol

Amelie went from a 2.5E to a 3.5E from start of June to start of Sept. Thats not very much but I felt bad cos she had been walking about in 2 sizes too small :dohh: (well prob 1 size too small cos clarks do have loads of growth room). I plan to take Amelie every 2nd payday.

p.s. Amelie has right teeny feet for a 21 month old :dohh:

My son's feet don't seem to have been that bad actually. Since 17 months he's had shoes every 3 months. Partly because of the seasons changing really though - like he had some growing room in his summer shoes that he got in June but I bought him new ones this week because the they kept raining in!

If Adam's feet went through a growth spurt before you got him fitted, he might get away with those shoes for a lot longer. It's really hard to predict when they'll get another growth spurt but I was told I'd probably get 1-2 months of use out of Emma's shoes before we'd need to buy a bigger size. It'll be a month tomorrow since we bought them and they still fit amazingly so hopefully we don't have to shell out for more anytime soon. I spent more money on her shoes than I would on 5 pairs of my own shoes. :dohh:

at a very expensive rate it would seem! they can grow a size in less than a month but the shoe shop lady told me, on average, every 3 months!

Just to add that if I find some shoes for LO that I like, and they happen to be on offer or something, I'll buy a spare pair in the next size too. If he never wears them, I can sell them or pass them on but I've saved money by making use of offers and sales this way.

My daughters feet have only gone up 2 sizes in the past year, though she's an amazing shoe collection, she has a habit of pulling he shoes off when we go into a shoe shop and asking for new shoes, don't know where that came from.... lol.

Wiggles on the other hand has gone from a 3f to a 5f in the space of 6 weeks!

G got his first Clark's shoes about 6 weeks ago so I suppose I should get him measured again pretty soon :)

They still seem to fit very well - they are only a 2.5g! We have a pair of size 3 converse that we got as a gift & I tried them on him today - they seem huge & he flicks his feet like a clown

He has just had a bit of height growth spurt though so its probably a good time.

Erin's feet are growing really slowly. At 12 months she was in cruisers which were a 2 1/2, then at 16 months she went into walkers which were a 3, then at 21 months she went into a size 4. She is now 27 months and just gone into a 4 1/2.

So in 15 months she has gone up 2 sizes!!

Olivia was measured at a 3F in May and is still a 3F now!
