Well it's Friday night and I am sat here half attempting a grocery shop with Tesco online! I will be woken up first thing in the morning by my sweet heart son who wants to watch Cartoon Network! I had a giggle to myself thinking how different life is compared to 10 yrs ago when I would have been on a night out and spent all of Saturday in bed!! Totally not complaining as I feel so blessed and happy but it's a bit crazy when you think about it......
What would you have been doing 10yrs or even a few years ago??

I was 22 and working for a major UK airline going on lots of cheap holidays with my OH. Still lived at home and had a great group of friends. Was out most weekends getting drunk and having a great time.

I was in school! Spent the weekends having sleepovers and going to town with friends. Miss them days!

Ten years ago I was 12. So I would have been in year 7, obsessing over a boy called Sam who I couldn't speak a word to, and still used to come home and watch CBBC after school.

I was only 10!! Playing football at the park and watching cartoons on Saturday mornings.

Ten years ago I was almost fourteen OH MY GOD  So I was just about to get my first ever tattoo like the classy burd I was, and I was probably drunk somewhere ignoring calls from my mum. I think I was going out with a guy called Lawrence, which was as serious as you would expect from an almost permanently intoxicated 14 year old. Now I'm thinking about how much I should go to bed as I have a full day of uni work tomorrow, boo!

Not much differant tbh.
I was 22, living with the same guy im now married to and just about getting to bed after another evening shift same as tonight.
I wasnt drinking by that age (got all that out of my system as a teenager)
Only real differance is I would have had a lay in on saturday morning but then im getting that tommorow anyway as oh is taking lo shoping so I can sleep in :)
Only thing thats changed is I spend my days picking up toys and constantly saying "stop doing that, get down off the sofa, you cant fly" :)

Ten years ago I was in Ibiza with my girl friends, having celebrated my eighteenth birthday there just days earlier. I was dating my now husband and we would soon be creating our first baby.

10 years ago I was 20 and looking forward to our soon approaching wedding in that July and we were living in the first house we owned.

Cannot believe we have been married 10 years this year!!!.

:flower:

10 years ago I was 18.

Friday Night, most likely I would have been out getting drunk somewhere & spending Saturday cleaning the house (lived with my now ex bf).

Mon-Fri I was working as a conveyancing secretary.

Now, Mon-Wed I'm an Assistant Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, spend most Fridays watching a film with a bottle of wine, saturdays usually spent taking the kids out somewhere.

10 years ago i was 14 so would have probably been off with my mates on a friday night!

Last night i was in bed at 7 watching tv and browsing pinterest!! Lol x

I would have been 13 and would have spent my weekend at the riding stables mucking out and grooming so I could earn free rides! Such carefree days!

I was 19, still living at home and had just started my first full time job so had lots of cash which got blown on clothes and socialising. I would have been out drinking every night of the week and clubbing every Friday and Saturday night. I went on my first girly holiday at 19, and also passed my driving test and got my first car- a vauxhall corsa 1.2 merit which I used to drive around like a mad thing with ministry of sound blasting :dohh:

At 29 my life couldn't be more different, happily married, beautiful almost two year old daughter and planning the next one, in bed by 10pm every night, driving a family car, and still paying off the debts I racked up as a crazy 19 year old :haha:

I deffo wouldn't change a thing about any part of my last 10 years though :)

Is it sad I still do this when I don't have the kids in the car? 28 years old and I'm still a girl racer at heart *sigh*

10 years ago i was 10! Probably would be sitting watching cartoons right now just as i am now haha! Had not a care in the world. xx

ten years ago i was 13 coming 14, i was still very much child like at that age so probably having breakfast and watching nickelodeon  same as now actually only nick jr has taken nickelodeons place in our house :haha:

It's so nice to see that everyone feels the same! In one sense 10 yrs feels like a lifetime ago but in another I can remember things like it was yesterday!! Money is different for sure, it's strange that I probably had more disposable cash then that I just blew on new clothes, make up and going out! Now it's family holidays, things for the home and plenty for the kids!! I have turned into my mum and find myself saying stuff that she used to all the time!

I hope I can keep a grip of my younger years because I think it's important for when the kids get older.

I am watching Nickelodeon!! In fact some of the old cartoons are making a return like teenage mutant turtles!!

Wow I feel old. 10 years ago my life wasn't that different. I was 25 and with the man I am now married to. We were just buying the house we have now been living in almost 10 years. I was working full time (albeit in a different job than I am now). I'd pretty much put my partying days behind me when DH and I got together. Obviously I didn't have the boys which is the big change.

You shouldn't feel old, at 25 I was doing exactly the same-I met my now husband at 23 and we both said bye to our party days although we did go out together much more than we do now!!
