How have things changed-what were you doing 10 years ago???

I was 12, finishing my first year at secondary, I had my first bf (haha), playing sports like crazy. My Saturday would have consisted of 2 hours rugby training (from 9-11), ice cream with my dad, brother and maybe some friends after. And the rest of the day with my friends and bf.

10 Years ago i would be working in Norwich Union (now Aviva) and then drinking till the sun come up. I would be putting myself about alot (something i am NOT proud of) and spending money like it was going out of fashion... wish i could slap 21 year old me sometimes

God just had a thought..... We are all going to see these years again, with our kids!!! How we will react???

I was 12! :)
Just at school, had a friend die the year before so i wasn't in the best place, and unfortunately i wasn't living with either of my parents and was in a massive tug of war between Mom, Dad, Aunt and Gran.

x

I was 10 :haha: In year 5 at school, having bad fallouts with my so called friends every day (I though it was bad then, it only got 1000000x worse in the next few years). Watched nickelodeon every day, and was excited about going into year 6 at school and enjoying the privileges :haha: I wanted to be a vet when I grew up.

Now, I have a 2 1/2 year old little boy, still live at home, still watch cartoons, but I don't have awful friends, and I am studying to nurse people rather than animals :')

I was 18, in college doing a AVCE in ICT (man do these even exist any more??). I was temporarily living with my at the time boyfriend, doing driving lessons, working at tescos...seems like such a long time ago, but I'm glad I am where I am now.

I was 16 so would of spent my Saturday's hungover after drinking a bottle of 20/20 the night before under a bridge by Asda whilst kissing random boys lol.

I was in bed by 10 last night and have been shopping today to buy a new toilet seat!

10 years ago I was 16 and was in total self destruct mode. Had discovered alcohol and had left school and had no intention of going back.

My god I remember 20/20, we used to drink on the local park!!
Toilet seat shopping sounds very rock n roll :happydance:

The highlight of my Saturday is watching homes under the hammer whilst ironing! Not sure I knew what an iron was 10 years ago!

-10 years ago, May 2003, I was 19
-I was still in sixth-fom college (having stayed on an extra year), finishing off my A2 Classics, retaking my A2 French, and studying GCSE Italian.
-I had been living with DH for nearly 3 months in our own home in Leeds.
-I had a driving license but no car.
-Friday nights we used to go out clubbing, and we would go at least once or twice a week to the cinema.
-Sorry to admit we ate takeaway almost every night, and lived like total slobs tbh.

May 2013

-I'm 29, I'm the mother of three lovely children and I'm pregnant with my fourth.
-I'm still with DH. We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary last month.
-We now live in Barnsley and have 2 cars (though only use 1).
-I've written a novel, and am also doing "adult" work.
-When I'm not pregnant, we only go out clubbing about 4-6 times a year, and cinema maybe once a month if we're lucky.
-We still eat too much crap but not as much as we used to.
-We keep the house reasonably tidy these days! (As tidy as a house with 3 kids living in it can possibly be anyway).

I was 17. Oh my that feels a life time ago!!
Its funny though, I like being in at weekends, kids in bed glass of wine with OH...oooh I am getting old ha ha!!xx

I was 30 (met DH when I was 34) I had moved into my own house 2 years at that stage, was so proud of myself to finally be in a position to buy my own house and was enjoying doing it up & getting the garden done etc bit by bit, its now rented out & I miss it, would love to move back but DH is a farmer so I moved to his house as he needs to be near the animals etc :growlmad:
10 yrs ago I was enjoying a bit of online dating, had some good fun & met some lovely & some crazy guys!! I had a good social life, plenty of girls nights out, work nights & holidays, glad I did all that then as life is much quieter now, I wouldn't swap it for anything though, my DH & my DD are my everything.:hugs:

Yikes. I was 14, had just dropped out of school due to bullying, my Dad was dying, I was being dragged to a psychiatrist and lying my way through each session because I was mega paranoid and thought he could read my mind, I was self-harming pretty bad, was in love with my gay best friend. Total grunger, I had dark blue hair and my days were mostly spent in the 'alternative' shops in town and the local goth hangout.

Now I'd like to think my life is a bit more placid
I'm 24, single mum to a toddler, work part-time in digital marketing (well, training), days out are spent at museums and the local safari park/farms, pretty happy with life in general, no longer mental as fuck, have a much better grasp of personal hygiene

Yes! :haha:
And Gostins, and another one... was it called the Palace? And hanging out at the Courts (or 'Kourts') of course

I love Quiggins. I was never in to that sort of crowd but I used to feel so cool going there haha. I've never heard of the other ones :p

The old Quiggins was well the best, only been in the new one a couple of times. I took my mam in the old one once and she was amazed, she didn't wanna leave :haha:
I used to live in there!
