How is the baby positioned?!

I've been waking up between 2 AM and 3 AM every night for... I can't remember how long now. But this week I noticed that I'm actually waking up to baby kicking. Now I'm confused as to which side baby is or in what position he is in.

Last night I woke up to a very hard, tight and rounded uterus to the right side of my belly. However there were kicks to the left side of my belly, in two different places (meaning top left and bottom left of the belly), sometimes simultaneously and sometimes one kick on the top with a break and another kick on the bottom. And sometimes it is just kick in one place and then stop after a few kicks/movements.

This has left me confused as to how exactly baby is positioned in there. Any ideas?

This is my favourite link, really helps to map out and envision how baby is positioned:

The hard tight part would be babies back/bum(/head), with feet & hands at the left moving + kicking :)

This is quite helpful. Thank you.

Even at 26 weeks the baby has plenty of room to move and flip around!

Yup, I know. I was curious at how the baby is positioning himself when one side sticks out and goes hard and the other side is where the kicks are felt.

The way I've been telling lately is by where I feel the hiccups, I know that's where his head is and where I feel the kicks at the highest part. Right now he seems diagonal, head is to my slight left by my pelvis and high kicks are to my right side just below my ribs.
