I am up a few lbs since my last weigh in a month ago, I have been eating same as normal, I eat clean most of the time I do indulge ocassionally. Is this baby putting the weight on? I am concerned cos it was a rapid increase in one week and am just making sure its not pre-eclampsia.

With my first pregnancy I didn't gain any weight the whole first half then I ended up gaining 35lbs in the second half. I was not over weight at the time so this weight gain was okay, but I'm slightly over weight this time (due to not losing all the weight from the first time) and would like to keep my weight gain between 15-25lbs. I'm worried, however, because I didn't gain any weight the whole first half, but now its going on really fast just like before. It does usually come on it spurts for me too even though I'm eating the same.

Lost 2lbs and still wearing my size 10 clothing. Well chuffed. I'd gained a dress size by this time with my DD

I am still the same weight but then I am only going on 15 weeks pregnant. I tend to gain weight right at the end x

I've gained about a pound so far. With DS I gained like 40. I lost it all really quick afterwards (I was 17) but that probably wont happen this time ! I'm hoping to not gain as much as last time but I'm going to try not to stress about it.

I'm up about 7-9lb and I'm 22 weeks tomorrow. Weighed myself on two different scales and got two different measurements so not exactly sure which is more accurate. I weigh roughly the same as I did in December, I lost some weight after Christmas and now am pretty much bak here I started which is fine as I was a healthy bmi.

I've put 11 lbs on so far...6 of those went on in 3 weeks though.

I didn't gain much in first tri but in 2nd tri I started to gain. I gained 22lbs total so far. Some of it I'd imagine is the baby (s).

With my first 2 I gained a tonne, I wasn't eating differently (and with my 1st I was sick multiple times a day throughout so I would have thought that would have counteracted the weight gain), I just packed it on. This time I'm only about 8lbs up on my pre-pregnancy weight so far. I don't think it is LO at this stage, as they pack the weight on towards the end, but it doesn't necessarily mean it is something bad like preeclampsia or GD, some women just gain weight more easily in pregnancy and water retention can play a part too.

Im 23 weeks and have gained 8 so far.. Its my first.

Everyone gains different.. And babes start to gain their own fat deposits starting in week 24 which is likely why a lot of women start gaining more in the second half.

I've gained 5 lbs so far. I'm sure I'll start gaining more but I'm not fussed about it. Have been working out all the way through, avoiding sugar & carbs, just generally eating healthy the way I usually do. I want to be in decent shape when baby is born so things aren't too difficult.

Well this twin pregnancy I have gained 11 lbs. My babies already are 1lb a piece too. I didn't start gaining weight until 13 weeks. Hoping not to gain more than 25lbs, but 40-50 is normal for twins. Hoping not to gain that much.

Is it normal to just up a few lbs in a week? It still hasnt gone back down either thought it was holding food etc. I am 21 + 3 days i exercise 3 times weekly and eat low carb diet. Didnt think baby gained weight til 3rd trimester?

Baby gains fat deposits starting at 24 weeks but doesnt gain significnt weight til third tri.. Which is only three weeks later.

Everyone gains different. Its not unusual to gain nothing for a while then jump up by a few pounds. I only gained 1 pound up until like 16 weeks and the other 7 ive gained about one a week since

This is what my what to expect app says for week 23 ive literally copy and pasted it:

Your little doll-size babe is about to chub up a bit. His saggy skin will start to fit his frame as fat deposits fill things out. Beginning this week, he'll start to pack on the pounds (which means you will too!) and by month's end he'll be double the weight he is now (though you won't be -- whew!).

Right now, your baby's organs and bones are visible through his skin, which has a red hue due to developing veins and arteries beneath. But once those fat deposits settle in, he'll become less transparent.

Ah thats great! I don't mind bubs putting on the weight, I was concerned about it happening so rapidly but I guess this is a good sign! Cant wait to see how much LO has developed in gender scan this week😊😊

Also I think everyone forgets the sac is full of fluid and placenta has weight too! Try not to stress the weight.

I've put on 23lb now. Completely the same as with my last pregnancy. I'm 34 weeks. I terms not to gain in the final few weeks. The only difference this time was I gained more in second tri and my weight has been pretty static in third. I lost it all within 4 months last time so not worried. Just think people should enjoy it eat properly and stay away from the scales😀 omg can't believe I'm 34 weeks. Where had time gone
