How is the weight gain coming along?

Is it normal to just up a few lbs in a week? It still hasnt gone back down either thought it was holding food etc. I am 21 + 3 days i exercise 3 times weekly and eat low carb diet. Didnt think baby gained weight til 3rd trimester?

Yes, this is normal, if by few you mean 2-3. And as long as you are not gaining that much EVERY week. If you're eating healthy and being active, I'm sure you're fine.

I've gained about 7-8 and I'm 16 weeks. A couple more that I'd like, but less that with my last pregnancy at this point. I gained 40 last time, and although I'd like to keep it lower this time, I don't think gaining 40 is "unhealthy". I lost it all in a year through breastfeeding, excersise, and eating healthy.

Thanks ladies, I was worried in case it was signs of pre e or something. Yes I keep active I work out 3/4 times a week, my diet is generally ok I try to eat clean. I am starting to feel those popping sensations are getting stronger lol baby getting bigger, my bump is really starting to show.

I been really watching my diet and I am 12 pounds in at nearly 24 weeks (ticker is wrong )
Last pregnancy I already put round 15pounds on week 24 , but ended only with 21 pounds gain , I started smaller this time thanks to breasfeedingthough
hoping for the same gain weight than my first which was born a year ago.
I seem to put much of my weight in the second tri .

I'm actually starting to get frustrated because I am losing more and more weight. I'm eating normally and some days a little more than normal. I try really hard to eat healthy but sometimes I have bad days (like yesterday was a Taco Bell for dinner night because we were both exhausted and didn't want to cook.) yet the scale keeps creeping down. As of this morning, I've lost 9 lbs since we confirmed the pregnancy, even though my stomach is visibly moving out. What is in there, air?

It's starting to worry me, but I talked to my doctor about it yesterday and she said she has no problem with it. She said she'll worry if I don't start to gain in the third trimester, though.

Which I would accept just fine, except when I was in my first trimester and losing weight, she said she wouldn't worry unless I started losing in my second trimester.

I just want this baby to be happy and healthy, and if I have to put on weight to do that, so be it. But this weight loss, that I'm 100% not trying for, is making me nervous. I was average to slim before.

I didn't put this here to make anybody else feel bad about their weight gain, but because I am legit worried about this. My stomach is visibly getting bigger but my weight is going down - it just doesn't make sense.

lost 8lbs but gained 3lbs back, I didn't really have anything to lose in the first place, I went from a bmi of 21 to a bmi of 19. apparently I actually looked really ill. work colleagues were getting concerned, hubby and family wasn't because they know i'll gain it back.
with both my pregnancies I stayed a 10 and gained 15lbs.

I'm up 13 lbs ish and im only 14+5 ! I always gain fast though slows down after 20 weeks practically stops then until I'm about 30 weeks !! Although I can not control my hunger if I'm hungry I can't help but eat ! I'm so bad when it comes down to it it makes me so upset coz I feel huge but oh well I'll loose it soon enough ! X

At 21+5 and at my weigh in (I still attend Slimming World classes every other week) I gained 0.5 making 9.5lbs in total.

I do tend to track my weight at home and scales today showed i've gained another pound since and I imagine that's going to be the trend now.

I read somewhere that a pound a week should be expected around this time I think so i'm happy if it stays at that! I've got another 17 weeks to go so another 17 lb on top of the 11 to date would be 2 stone exactly taking my total weight to 10st8 and I was 11st0.5 6 weeks after having my DS!!

I'm 26+4 and I've gained 14 lbs.

I'm 16.5 and haven't gained anything according to the scales, I feel fatter though. I haven't been very well with morning sickness so I guess it's that.

I've gained 4 lb at 16 weeks, but I was already overweight at a BMI of about 29.

My doctor said to aim for 15-25 total, but to not worry if it's not at an even rate. She said some women don't gain much at all until the third trimester, and others gain most of it during the second trimester then slow down for the final couple months.

Just want to add that even with pre e or gd it doesn't mean you're guaranteed to gain a bunch of weight ;) I'm 18 weeks and am still losing a little even though I'm not sick any more, and I have gd, I'm pretty sure that at this point in my other pregnancies where I didn't have gd I had started gaining which is odd because I'm actually eating more with this pregnancy to keep my blood sugars up and balanced

Up a pound this morning for a total of 6 lb gain and I'll be at 6 months this week.

What's everyone eating? Does anyone else sick of foods quickly too? I made a big greek salad for this week, I was head over heels for chicken ceasar last week. I brought out some turkey & butternut squash soup from the freezer to go with the salad in my lunches. Hopefully I don't get sick of the soup before it's gone. Munching on a little can of tuna & ciabatta bread & balsamic vinegar right now...

I don't have a scale at home so I only know how much I weigh at my doctor's visits. I was up 3 lbs at 14 weeks (however, I hadn't had a bowel movement in quite a few days and was feeling very "full", so that probably contributed to a little bit of the weight gain!). I finally started exercising a few weeks ago which feels great, and we finally have a kitchen again after 3 months of renovations so I have more food options now too. I still have aversions to vegetables, but have been eating loads of fruit and eggs. I don't have a great appetite yet, even though I am hungry quite a lot, so sometimes I don't make the best food choices, just whatever I can "stomach". I am happy with the gain so far and am hoping I continue at this rate.
