How long after m/c (4+5) do you get bfn?

I know this isn't exactly the right place but I didn't know where else to put it.

I've been bleeding for nearly 6 days. When I did my ic's when I started bleeding (at 4+5) , they were meduimish darkness

I just did a hpt to see if they were any lighter and I got this

I know last time I had this sort of problem but not to this extreme. There's no question that I've had a m/c, I've lost more blood than a normal af and it's been very clotty (tmi). How long roughly will it take for my body to settle?

I would suggest thow , Having the early scan they booked you any way hun .
I know you have had allot of bleeding . But you never know hun .. The scan should tell you more .
I would mention to your docs that tests are getting darker . xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .

You need to get your beta HCG levels done love. They need to see if they are falling or perhaps if they are rising still? Also with your heavy bleeding and a very positive pregnancy test still, the NHS protocol would be to do a scan if your cervix is still closed.
You need to know whats going on if your levels aren't dropping hun xxxx

mine stayed positive for over a week after but they got fainter, I really would get this checked. xxxx

I am so sorry you are going through this. However with my miscarriages, the pregnancy test got lighter to even negative immediately! My suggestion to you is that you go to the scan you have booked for Tuesday and get things looked at and request a beta HCG test. After a mc the hcg numbers fall very rapidly after a mc. This is an indication to me that you may not have mc? Good luck and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm just worried I've screwed my body up now. I didn't lose as much blood with the last m/c I had than I have with this one. I just don't see how it's possible that anything can still be there iykwim?

I know 100% what you mean hun , And i know nothing about m/c to suggest to you that baby is ok .
But i know the tests have gotton darker , And there could be a mirical baby there .
I just know the scan will give confirmation one way or the other Sweets .

I sooo know you hate hospitals Sue hun , And virtually i will be holding your hand and thinking of you on Tuesday .

You have not screwed your body up at all , You are doing everything you can your body is not co operating hun .

you know ive already replied on the other forum sue babe...
but i really do have high hopes for you and think that you may have had twins and m/c one or maybe your just having a bleed like a lot of women do. I really dont think your test would have gone as dark as it has if you have m/c, it should be going down. i hope that your scan on tues will show up a little dancing baby *fingers crossed*

i would deffo get checked out, it could be ur placenta that is bleeding. baby mite be ok. either way u need to find out. fingers crossed for you x x

Sorry for your loss hon. Did you ask in the miscarriage section?? It does seem puzzling. Please don't get your hopes up as the fall will only be greater. Get it checked though. Did they rule out an ectopic pregnancy at the hospital/doctors just out of curiosity?

My hpt after my mc at 7w 5days was after 3 days after. So I think youre in with a chance.

How did you have your m/c confirmed??? You can bleed but still have a rising Hcg with an ectopic. Any pain in your abdomen? I would see a DR pronto...don't wait. I would have expected your levels to have dropped dramatically down to zero. Your lines shouldn't be getting darker at all.

Not 100% sure as it its nearly 4yrs since my m/c. But i started bleeding on the tues went to hospital & they checked my cervix which was open. Went for a scan on the thurs to check my body had got rid of it all & it had. Told me to test 2wks later & i got a BFN.
Also it was a very early m/c only about 4wks.

Get to the epac as soon as you can and get them to check this out for you i know when i miscarried the tests got lighter not darker x

Hi hun, Ive been bleeding for 3 days now and it seems to have stopped, I took an asda test yesterday which I got a fairly light line on, almost none existant, whereas before i started bleeding it was quite dark. Urs have got darker!! Im hopin 4 u hun.

Thanks for your replies. I never had my m/c confirmed as such. I went to the doctor , told him I was bleeding and he said if it slowed down and stopped then everything would be ok. He said if it got heavier like a heavy af then it would be a m/c.

I've got no pain in my abdomen, I did have cramps for the first 3 days of bleeding but that has gone now although I'm still bleeding.

I'm going to see my gp tomorrow so I'll run it past her. I seriously cannot see how I could still be pg with the amount of blood and tissue I've lost. I just hope I dno't end up in hospital again for Christmas, that would about top off this year
