How long after miscarriage did you wait to try again?

I have just gone through my second miscarriage in 5/6 months. I had a blighted ovum at 7 weeks in March, waited for AF, immediately got pregnant the cycle after and had a miscarriage at 9 weeks last week (baby had grown to 8 weeks).

I am really scared about ttc again and potentially going through more miscarriages. I really want a third child though, so will have to 'bite the bullet' at some point.

When to ttc?

I want to get healthy before ttc again and lose about half a stone to a stone. I was thinking waiting two cycles.

After my second consecutive miscarriage a two weeks back, the midwife told me that if you have a natural miscarriage there is absolutely no reason why you can't try straight away, afterall, your body decides when it's ready to ovulate for a reason, eh? Even if anything has been left behind, your body will expel it at some point or absorb it and it will not do anything to a newly fertilised egg. The only reason doctors prefer you to wait a cycle is so that they can date a bit more accurately. I am waiting to ovulate in the next few days and try again, although I'm 37 and feel that I just can't "waste" an egg! Best of luck with everything, it's tough going but I'm sure we'll all get there in the end. xxx

I'm going to turn 37 in September, so I agree with you about not wanting to wait too long.

I also had a MC and D&C in march. We decided to wait 6 cycles. Besides, the doctor told me to use birth control pills for several cycles, so that my ovaries can rest a little, the hormones are stabilized, and the cycle length is predicatable. So for us it looks like this: 1 regular cycle using condoms, then 4 cycles of pills, then 1 regular cycle using condoms and after that we stop preventing and TTC in Sepember

I had my second miscarriage this year 4weeks ago. I'm also 37 in September so we all seem to have lots in common! I had my first af 3weeks after mc and am just about t ovulate now only problem is hubby is away on holiday! ! So we are going for it August onwards x

We had our m/c at about 6weeks, started bleeding and cramping on July 11th, and it was confirmed that everything had passed naturally on July 14th. It was devastating We had our 1st FET on June 18th and we were so excited about finally being pregnant after trying for so long! I have 7 frosties left which is wonderful but I also worry about the same thing happening next time. We have an appt with the embryologist and RE in a week to talk about the next steps. We are also trying on our own right now as I know women can be super fertile after a m/c and at 38 I also don't want to waste an egg. I am pretty sure just based on how I am feeling and some practically positive opk's that we are ovulating soon or we may already have done so. We are dtd every day or so and I am temping. I'll know once I see the rise. My temp was a bit elevated this morning but I had a few glasses of wine last night with my hubby so that may be the reason.
I hope we all catch that egg soon and end up with our rainbow babies.
