For how can I keep the formula before throwing and preparing a new bottle.
Sometimes she ends up having just having half a bottle of a freshly prepared formula.Should I throw off the rest or can finish it within a span of time? If yes then for how long?

I just asked this question to a friend of mine lol... felt like I was wasting so much! I am combi feeding, well supplementing 1-3 bottles a day and still 3+breastfeeds a day, to help with weight gain and LO likes to only take an oz or two here and there and not finish her bottle.

The can says 1 hour. If she refuses right away I will put it in the fridge and pull it out and offer again with 2 hours. DD is a feeding refuser - if I dumped all that formula we'd go through so much more at $45 a can and 17 cans a month we can't do it.

Thankfully though most times she finishes her 4-5oz bottle and it's not an issue.

If its a made up bottle that hasn't been touched by Tom and its cooled rapidly, I keep them in the fridge for up to 24 hours max. If its been heated or he's drunk anything from it at all, I'd keep it for max 2 hours.

I keep it a max of 1 hr..she usually has half...then coo's away or naps n takes the rest 30 mins later when i re-warm n offer it
