Hi all, I was wondering how long before a bottle needs to be thrown away after it's been warmed. My LO makes lots of waking up noises...lol, very cute but it goes on and on for maybe over an hour sometimes then other times a few minutes, my point is, it's very hard to predict when she will wake. Thing is, when she does wake it's like bang and she screams and screams until fed...lol, little minx!! So in the past I have tried to pre empt the screams by popping the bottle in the warmer, thinking she will be awake in minutes, then it can turn to an hour. Do I need to throw this bottle away and start with a new one? I don't warm it very high just leave it on the low setting, but when is it just too long to use? Or should it be straight away on throw it?
Thanks for reading x

Made up feeds need to be used within 2 hours I believe :)

If you're keeping it warm (at a constant temperature) then that's ok, but letting it go cool, then reheating, wouldn't be.

Yep, 2 hrs. Carter was the same, very impatient. Does your LO take a pacifier? Maybe try giving a pacifier until the bottle is ready.

i do 2 hours aswell and have done since day 1 and my LO is fine and fit. :) x

My formula says one hour once warmed. I will take it from the fridge and warm it when I think hes getting hungry and leave it hanging around for up to an hour. By then it's room temp but still safe. After an hour Id make a new one.

Mine says two hours, I think it depends on the formula and should say on the box?

My LO is exactly the same, you try and pre-empt it as he is stirring....otherwise if he wakes and you have to go and do it, he gets so worked up and screams so much that then he attacks the bottle with such force he gets terrible wind!

But then, he doesn't wake up for ages....
x
