I had a miscarriage at 6+2 and the nurse just called and said I need to wait 3 months before I start trying again. That seems a little ridiculous to me. I've read about people getting pregnant again before their next period. We want to start trying right away. Has anyone else had their doctors tell them something different? Thanks!

I've always been told if the loss was in the first trimester that you are safe to try again whenever you are ready, as long as there's no history of multiple miscarriages
most doctors now will tell you to wait for the first AF, but that's only for dating purposes

Ive had 1st and 2nd Tri losses and started TTC again straight away, my gp said there was no reason not to

I had a mc a month and a half ago. The doctor said there is no problem trying again straight away. The only reason they advise to wait is because it is easier to calculate due date and how far along you are.

I did not get bfp last month, but am hoping for one this month... Ewcm just showed up, so there'll be bd :) woo hooo :)

I've heard differing opinions, even from my own Dr. I just had my 2nd miscarriage (after a "boring" pregnancy with my daughter). After the first one, he said to wait one cycle, now he says he wants me to wait 3 to make sure my body's back to normal. I've seen many people on here post success stories from less than 3 months after a miscarriage and just as many success stories within 3 - 6 months after. I think unless there are underlying medical conditions, you can start when you think you are ready.

Didn't want to read and run. just suffered my first mc at 11+2 and was wondering the same. My dr also said 3 months but I had a blood transfusion so wondered if that was the reason. sorry for your loss xx
