After an elective

Am I right in thinking 2 days is the norm

i had alfie at 9.36am on friday morning and went home on sunday morning
x

I had Joshua the Monday morning and left the Thursday evening xx

Yep 2 nights is the norm if you and baby are both well x

Yep i think so, I'm booked in on the Thursday and they say i will be going home on the Saturday as long as we are both ok x

i had him on the tuesday and went home thur morning x

hi i had Sophie on monday 2nd april and went home next day afternoon.

I had LO on a Fri morning and went home the following Tues afternoon. That was mainly because LO couldn't breastfeed as she was small and I stubbornly tried to keep doing it! In the end I left hospital exclusively expressing. I wish I'd gone home earlier though. Oh, and mine was an EMCS.

The norm is 2 days though I think.

I was on the ward two nights and in the NICU transitional area for one night. :)

I think it just depends on how you are doing and how the baby is doing. Mine was an emergency c-section and was in for 2 1/2 days. I was let out "early " apparently

Our hospital say, all being well 48hrs from the time babe was born :)

I was in 5 days but it was an EMCS and I had complications.

I had Laura on a Monday and was home Thursday morning and had Ollie on a Monday but was in a week cus he was in NICU but they were ready to discharge me on the Wednesday xx

Normally in my hospital its 3 days...but my midwife sent me home after less than 48 hours because I was sleeping so poorly in the hospital (shared room with disruptive roomate and was right across from the nurses station so lots of noise)

after my elective section i was in 2 nights but section was in the evening.

x

Mine was elective, I was in and out in 48 hours.

My doctor told me that insurance will pay up for 4 days, but they will send people home at 2 days if both mom and baby are doing really well and 3 if they need it or feel like they aren't ready to go home. I went home after 1 1/2 days!

It may be different in the US, but I had my LO in March via c-section. I was admitted on a Friday morning and discharged the following Tuesday early afternoon - 4 nights and 5 days.

Its normal to stay in for 4-5 days after here. I went home day 4 after Alexia was born (but I was in a total of 11 days)
