This is my 3rd (and last section) however with the other two children, I did not have this over hang :/

Iv been putting a small amount of anti fungal cream around the wound, as 1 week pp I had a fungal infection there, so now im putting a small amount there still to keep it at bay, problem is, is that im now 4 weeks pp, and havn't been able to shave there (as it hurts too much to even try) and so Im quite 'untidy' down there, the cream kinda mixes with the hair and then pulls, which makes it hurt more, I dunno if I should stop the cream. Im reluctant to, uncase the wound is still open (I can't see it, so I don't know if its a scar, or still a wound).

Any advice ladies?

:hugs: hun, I would go and get a doc to have a look at it to help you decide what cream is best and if the cream your using is ok. I used a gel, it was very expensive but worked like magic, for the first week I only used one of those red iron sprays, this was lovely and cooling but stained lol, then I used this gel scar cream which dried on without sticking to the hairs. I shaved down there less than two weeks after the birth as I lived in a hot country and used to go in in the sea a lot with a low rise bikini. I found that going into the clear sea water was great for healing. My Mum says she was told to take salt water baths at home to help cleanse the wound. But I have had some bad ingrown hairs in the last few months on the scar tissue there.

Don't worry about the over hang, I cried first time I saw mine and thought it would be hard to tighten back, but 10months down the line it has decreased dramatically, and I haven't yet done any serious sit ups! I have been too scared to start exercising my tummy. :winkwink:
