Since spotting on Wednesday, I found out on Friday at an ultrasound that I had an empty sac (I should have been 7 weeks). Over the last few days I have lost pregnancy symptoms and have started bleeding today.

The bleeding is not very heavy and only a slight amount of tiny clots. Pain is minimal so far. When I had an early miscarriage in 2007, I remember it being really painful. How long do you think it will take to get heavier and 'complete'? I am feeling really nervous about it.

Me too! I just found out today I have an empty sac after bleeding/spotting for 3 days. Would love to know how long it takes to 'complete' as you soon. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: for OP too!!!

I had an empty sac which was diagnosed at exactly 7 weeks as well. Here was my timeline

Day 1: Brown spotting, which continued for the next 3 days.
Day 4: Red blood/empty sac confirmed.
Day 5: Still red blood, very light (only when I wiped)
Day 6: Passed everything (light cramps, bleeding on slightly worse than a period)
Day 7-10: Light bleeding, nothing heavier than a period.

It took 10-11 days from the day I actually passed the sac for my hormones to go back to zero. I got my first AF 5 weeks after I passed the sac.

If you have any questions, ask away. I'm sorry for you loss, and happy to help however I can.

I'm in the same boat. Just found out yesterday. I just want it to hurry up and happen now. The wait is horrible when you don't know what to expect. Thanks for your rundown alternateDi

alternatedi - thanks so much for your response. My timeline is very similar. I'm now on day 4 and I think I might have passed everything this morning - painful cramps for me though! There were two (sorry tmi!) large clots, I would say golf ball sized. And lots of bleeding. Do you think that sounds right? I'm gonna try to see my doctor later today if I feel well enough to drive, but just wondering - when did they say you could start trying again? I really don't want to wait until after another AF. :nope: Since we just lost 12 weeks with empty sac already.

Oh lovely i am so sorry for your loss :hugs:
Hopefully you continue with minimal pain, it may well be that its almost over.

xx

Hey hon,

Yep, that's pretty similar to what happened to me. I passed a few large clots and then smaller clots. There was no discernible sac (my doctor thought it had probably collapsed). I kept waiting for it to get worse, and was relieved to find out it was all done. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope your body is kind to you.

I actually passed the sac on the day I posted - about two hours later. Heavy-ish bleeding and a couple of strong cramps but not as bad as first time.

Last couple of days bleeding has just been like a period. I think because I have given birth twice, maybe my body coped with the cramps and pushing things out better this time. I am relieved as I thought it was going to be much worse - I had read of people having to go to hospital and things. I am relieved things are pretty much over now.

Thanks girls for your kind responses, I hope you are all doing ok.

I am interested about what some of you have written about ggetting your cycle back. I am hoping that I can wait one cycle then hopefully start ttc again.

Glad to hear the physical part of the experience was not as hard as it could be.

As for ttc, I've done the same. I had one AF and am now ttc. Fingers crossed it will work out for all of us when we're ready.

:dust: for everyone - hoping it sticks next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is my timeline as I am naturally miscarrying too.

14 Days Ago- Baby measured 1.5 weeks small, heartbeat
7 Days Ago- Baby had no heartbeat, miscarriage confirmed
4 Days Ago- Small brown spotting, very minimal
3 Days Ago- Brown when wiping
2 Days Ago- Not much of anything
1 Day Ago- Brown spotting, with small particles which I'm assuming are tissue.
Today- Brown spotting picked up, then noticed red blood when wiping. Now seeing continual red blood when wiping. When I peed earlier, a lot of red blood flowed out with small pieces of tissue (i'm assuming) again. I can feel cramping coming on, but I'm not in any pain.

I'm hoping to pass as soon as possible. I'm terrified. Would love to keep in touch if you need support... no one should go through this alone!

I've had no cramps and no clots etc. I MC about 4 days ago. I was 4weeks 3 days. Is that too early to clot/lose the sac?
