how long is the waiting list for ivf on nhs

hi guys just wondering how long it is on waiting list for ivf and do u get a letter telling u that u r on it or just wait sooo confused thanks xxx

got told by private consultant today waiting list on nhs is 18months -2 years (thats in wales anyway)

thanks im in northern ire i thought it was around 12 mts here but want to find out if they send u a letter sayin u r on the list cause i was last at consultant in dec las year n havnt heard nothing yet xx

I'd try and check if your on the list just in case you've been missed. the cut off point is 38.5 yrs to be referred for it so u need to make sure your on that list!
