I'm sure this has been asked time and time again so apologies, but how many bottles should I buy for when my little one arrives?

6-8 should be about right. If you go for 6, there's a strong chance you'll have to wash some or all of them twice a day in the beginning though. If your LO ends up on 3 hourly feeds for a while (a high proportion do), 8 will get you through 24 hours.

Ive got six, and get three ready in morning for during day and other three ready before bed for night and early next morning. When bubs is bit smaller you may need 8, I had 7 of the small ones and coped jsut fine
So yeah after all that same as pp, 6-8 lol
xx

I bought 3 little ones and 6 big ones. It's hard to feed 2oz from a full size bottle so I liked the smaller bottles when she was tiny. Still used them now for her smaller bottles.

It's also nice to have enough bottles so you only have to wash once a day.

I have 7 but we usually only use about 6. Just depends on how hungry Summer is xx

We have 7, I like that number as it gives me enough for the day, and one leftover just in case. When she was smaller and having 8 bottles a day, I was always washing/sterilising twice a day, as the steriliser will only fit 6. One thing I did learn was to never leave the bottles until there were none left, as I'd end up forgetting and in crisis mode trying to get them sorted when she got hungry :)

I was wondering this same thing, think I would have ended up buying 15 or so!!

I bought 12 last time lol. 6 in the sterilizer and 6 waiting to go in in the sterilizer. :dohh:

I'm going to do the same this time as well. Just because i find it easier :hugs::hugs:

My steriliser takes 4 so its good to have 4 in getting cleaned but also to have another 2 ready - so 6 is a good amount!

However I do have about 6 wee ones and 6 big ones!

When I bought my steriliser 2 or 3 bottles came free with it. Then at the end of the baby event at Asda they had halved the prices again so I got 10 bottles for about £8.

I use Tommee Tippee - think they are great!

I agree the little 5oz size are good to start with when your LO might only be taking 2oz at a time, but if you are buying them then I would probably just buy the big ones if they are pretty much the same price:flower:

I have 6 bottles but i wouldnt go getting all 6 to start with. We brought avent ones and then had to change to dr brown as had bad colic. You may have to wash and resteralise to start with however your Lo will soon get into a routine.
