I've been thinking about this over the last couple of days so though I'd see what you ladies do - how many bottles do you take when you go out?
Do you take what you expect to use? Or do you take spares?

At the moment if I'm popping to the shops and know lo is not due a feed I don't take one. If I expect him to need one then I take one. But I don't take any spares.

I got to thinking the other day - what if the car broke down? If I'm going to our local shop I could walk home in 30 minutes so I could just abandon the car if needed! But if I go further afield I couldn't, which made me start to think mayb I should take a couple of bottles with me so I have a spare. I use cartons when we are out so there are no worries abou keeping Feeds cool etc, I just take the sealed sterilised bottles.

What do you do?

My boy feeds every two to four hours during the day. It's not often he goes two hours but sometimes he does. So when I go out I take enough to feed him every two hours. Mind you I've only gone to the mall or to a friends place yet. (he's five and a half weeks)

I always keep an extra bottle & 2 extra feeds just in case. We got stuck for 4 hrs in traffic when Omar was tiny, I was fully prepared. Until now I do the same although he only takes 3 milk feeds a day. xx

Depends where I'm going but have at least one spare normally two or three just in case I stay out longer

i always keep 5 cartons in my car and cheap sterelised sealed bottles in case i get stuck somewhere i know she has more than enough. you can buy ready made bottles and teats ( the ones you get in hospital) so you dont need to sterelise anything and just screw the teat on and chuck when you finish. you could keep a box of them in your car.

I was caught short once and will never let it happen again - Did i feel like a bad mummy that day!!
So if we go futher a field i always take a spare. We live a 10 minute walk from town so only take what I need when we go. :)

I used to take one for which he needed and a spare now only take what he needs as I know he will drink cows milk cos I forgot to take his formula out once (perspriction formula) so had to buy cows milk lol also he will drink toddler milk

I always take 2 bottles with me minimum... The bottle is only filled with water, and then I use a formula container that can hold 3 bottles worth of powder. When LO gets hungry, I pour the powder in, shake it up and the bottle is ready to go.

I haven't gone on a long road trip yet with LO now on formula (did a couple long road trips with LO BF'ing) so I'm not sure how many I would keep prepped. Depends on the trip I guess.

we take what shes due to have in the time we are out, plus a spare incase were stuck in traffic or something x

I take 2 bottles as a minimum. I take 2 bottles with some cooled boiled water already in them, a flask of freshly boiled water and a formula tub with 3 lots of feed in it (just in case I'm out for longer than I think)
I take all this even if I'm just popping to Tesco

Skye's lactose intolerant so I can't use cartons or anything.
Takes me ages to leave the house
