how many bottles while weaning??

Sorry admins if this is in the wrong section so feel free to move it but as its a mixture of both topics thought i'd start with forumla feeding!!

anyway hello ladies!!

Ellie's 5.5 months and this week have just started her on 3 meals a day..(just to add she's been weaning since 16 weeks, so weaned her really slowly! and not just suddenly started on 3 meals lol)

she's always had the same amount of bottles, as obviously with her been early weaned she just had a small amount of puree/baby rice, etc

now she's on 3 meals a day she is still wanting her 5/6 7oz bottles (hungry baby too) and doesn't seem to be cutting back any at all.. would you say this is norma and okl??

Also she's been draining some of her bottles, so put them upto 8oz and she was sick! so i'm a bit stuck, as she gets upset that she's finished but then obviously doesn't need it as she's sick if I put them up!

this is her feeding routine:

5-6am 7oz bottle
8-9am porridge
10am ish 5-7oz bottle
12-1pm small dinner (still small as only just introduced it)
2pm ish 7oz bottle
4-5pm tea
6.30-7pm 7oz bottle
10.30 - 11pm 7oz bottle

(sometimes there's another one added randomly throughout the day or night)

I really just worry that she's kind of having too much milk.. but then again she wouldn't drink it if she doesn't want it?? but she literally seems starving and downs the bottle.

I give her water throughout the day aswell, so don't think its thirst but these are the same feeding times as before she was weaned, just i've add small amounts of food inbetween.

Any help or advice would be nice!

HI hun, she shouldnt start dropping her milk feeds before she's 6+ months & fully weaned with 3 proper varied meals. At 6+ the min is 18-21 oz with 3 proper solids & the max is around 20 oz at 9+. She will start dropping her milk feeds once you start introducing more filling meals at 6+.
