In the first four to six months when your baby isn't eating any solids, here's a simple rule of thumb: Offer 2.5 ounces of formula per pound of body weight each day. For example, if your baby weighs 6 pounds, you'll give him about 15 ounces of formula in a 24-hour period.

I'm being thick - I can't work that out.
He's about 12lb

30ozs.
I think the rule stops applying when you get to 32ozs as then (hopefully) it should be nearer to weaning age and you can start to add food.
My little boy is 2 weeks older than yours he was taking 26-28oz a day but i switched back from comfort milk to normal milk a Cpl weeks ago, he did slow down a lot at first while he got used to the normal milk again, and dropped down to around 20oz a day, but today hes had a good day
5oz - 6.40am
3oz - 9am ( always has this before his morn nap)
5oz - midday
5oz - 3pm
4oz - 6pm
5oz - 7.45
tomorrow im going to offer 6oz feeds, so he may drop one of the little feeds x
I'm having same issue! My little boy is drinking 4-5 oz every 3.5-4 hours. On average he is drinking a total of 20-24 per day (ish) between 7pm. And I'm pretty sure this is why he isn't sleeping through the night, as when he wakes at first feed in night he will take 4oz if I'm lucky but after that he onlywants 1-2oz at his next wake up, and same for one after that, he's pretty much just grazing during night.
His weight gain is okay although under his centime at last weigh in due to a week of diarrhea from a milk change.

I thought my LO wasn't sleeping through because he wasn't eating enough during the day but this week he's guzzled between 30oz and 36oz a day and still hasn't slept through unfortunately!
