I sorted and stickered the childrens presents last night, Noah has 47  and Mailie isn't far behind :dohh: that's a crazy amount isn't it? Do you think it's too much? That isn't including stocking fillers either :dohh:

How many have your children got?

I dont think its too much, you get what you can afford. When i looked through Kians he had loads, ive gone a bit OTT, and hes only gunna be 4 months at xmas so wont av a clue, but i wanted to make it special for him. x

we havent gone ott with ollie this year, she has got about 25 presents but she will only be 7 months old at xmas.
i feel sorry for my 8 year old son this years because he only has a few things to open. every year other than this year he has had loads to open but this year his presents have cost more so even though he has had close to £500 spent on him, it doesnt look like much x

We havent went overboard this Christmas at all, apart from the face we are saving for a big holiday in April, I have found toys in Dec bedroom from last Christmas that havent even ben opened !!! I just looked at my list, Dec has 10 presents and Dan has 9. I really dont think it matter about how much they have, what matters is you can afford it :) x x

depends on the gifts i suppose but really who is to say what is to much or to little :) just do what u like ! :) x

amelie has 60 odd but theyre getting split for bday and xmas and i';; buy her loads of clothes for birthday too.

I agree with rhi rhi, you do what you can afford and what you personally are happy to spend on Christmas. I stopped counting maddi's presents once I hit 50, then she has a big stocking and I'm not quite done yet. We've always splashed out on her birthdays and Christmases and we're happy to do it again this year. She'll be opening them all day mind

We don't go overboard with gifts since we go away for part of the holidays so each child get 4 gifts.. one is a pair of P.J's, one from Mom & Dad and two from Santa plus stockings..

I'm not sure how many presents mine have got, but I've spent about £1500 between the 3 of them. The younger 2 have lots each but my eldest only has about 15 presents this year as most of his £500 was taken up with an xbox360!

Every year I tell myself I'm going to cut it down, but then every year I feel bad if they havn'y got as much as usual! lol, I have to start buying months and months in advance to afford it!

Snap :)

We spend what we can afford to spend, I've already had my oh tell me mil is annoyed at how much I've bought, she's not actually seen though, only heard... But we just laugh about it, we've got the money to, started in august though, so spread the cost. I've got few more bits to get and then I'm done.

I honestly don't think there is any right or wrong answer....

I think Hallie has about 25 + stocking but she has about 6 dvd's and i count them as presents not stocking!

I'm being quite selfish and thinking of my house this year. She has ONLY JUST like literally this week when I started clearing her toys out started to play with them! So I don't want to clutter my house up again with stuff she wont use!

Ive no idea, i wont know until im wrapping them, i just put them in the larder type cupboard and then pull them out in the week before christmas to wrap them ... never a good idea because i forget whats in there and buy too much!!

We've spent about £300 on Brooke this year ... £150 for birthday and £150 for christmas

The last 2 years we;ve only had £50 to spend on Sophie and Sid but this year we've upped it to £100 each. If i could afford more i would definitely be buying more.

x

sophie-lou and Dylan have about 18 each, but they are all presents (toys) I don't count clothes or p.j's as presents cause they would be getting those anyways

plus they have about 4-5 presents as stocking filler :)

i think morgan has about 20 or 25 but they are all in the cupboard until i get more paper to wrap them

Will has about 13 I think, but thats just from us... I think my friends and family will spoil him loads!

My kids are getting about 9 each. That's counting DS games and other video games too.

Ive no idea how many the lo's have and I havent stopped yet, I dont have a budget, i buy what we can afford, our daughter is easier to buy for so Ive to balance little mans presents so hes the same amount. Dylan the eldest only has about 8 presents so far but has had over £1000 spent on him (though £500 was on a trip). I started buying earlyish and spread out buying a few things at a time so you dont really notice it. I dont include lo's clothes or pj's as presents, but the eldest has now asked for some clothes so they'll now be included as presents as they wont be his christmas and boxing day outfits.

blooming heck

emily has about 15 off us

but they're not all cheap ones
and our families are HUGE
so we didn't buy loads we asked other
people to buy what we were going to buy
instead, that way she'll love all of them!
