How much bleeding is normal after the sac passes?

Hi,
I was astounded by how quickly the sac/fetus passed (had only bled for 1 day before it), but still bleeding really really heavy and its been about 2 says since it passed. is that normal? when does the bleeding subside?

Everyone is different, I am afraid. I hope it stops for you soon. Do give your doc a call if you are worried though.

bleeding can last for up to six to eight weeks. only worry if youre having alot of pain with it or are filling a pad or more an hour

My doctor told me to expect bleeding up to eight weeks as well. I bled heavily for about 5 days, then it slowed down a bit. It's been 1 week and 4 days since I m/c and I still bleed from time to time, mostly if I move around a lot. It's not nearly as heavy as it was though.

If you feel light headed/faint, are bleeding through a pad or more an hour or get a fever, go to the doctor!
