How much do you spend on your children at christmas, do you stick to a budget or go a bit crazy? xx

Last couple of years I've spent wayyy too much.

This year it's going to be £250-300 mark, hopefully.

£300 for Brooke but thats for both birthday and xmas, im sure as she gets older it'll be more but there are only so many toys you can buy

Probably overspend but thinking around the £250 mark including his birthday

so far i've spent £100 (max) and thats for both xmas and birthday!

i really wont be spending much more as my LO will be getting gifts from grandparents and uncles as well as friends etc and she'll only be 1.

I'll treat her to a nice play kitchen and probably an outdoorsy type thing in the summer as her birthday and xmas are close together

I like to spend money on other treats too such as seeing santa, days out near Xmas and xmas goodies in the build up to xmas too x

so far just over £100, its her 1st Christmas, i have to say iv struggled on what to buy as her birthdays early March so want to leave some things i have seen to buy for her birthday instead. She has so much already!!

usually about £150-200 each, but this year they have asked for dressing up stuff so me and OH decided to get them loads off ebay rather than 1 or 2 outfits new, so i would guess its much less this year.

I dont usually keep track, last year Decs main presents came to about £200-£300 then he had lots of other little bits and clothes, shoes and jim-jams. Dan got a £500 laptop, £100 DJ hero game and lots of other little things !!!! This year it will be nowhere near that, I already have all of Decs stuff and that has only come to £145 and thats it, no more. Dan's bike will be about £300 and then he will get some small bits. I have cut down big time this year :)

These amounts dont include christmas day clothes, boxing day clothes and new shoes :)

im the same as you lol, send too much! xxx

Im spending £200 on each child plus other little bits like new pj's slippers dressing gowns etc. I have also bought them a personalised story each for xmas eve and a couple of wii games. Im spending about £500 on oh as he wants a laptop, £40 on parents, £10 each to neices and nephews as they get loads anyway and thas about it really. The christmas shopping will probably cost around £450 but that takes us through new year and includes tins of chocs and biscuits as well as alcohol and tukey and all the veg!

Spent more than I meant to this year oh is going mad as nowhere to put all these new toys lol x

Last yr I spent way too much... About £300 on christmas and I'd spent £200 on her birthday only a month before too. This year I budgeted for £200 for xmas and I've spent £150 with only a couple of books and xmas pjs to go.
