How much does your OH's opinion matter?

DH doesn't really have much of an opinion when it comes to what I wear or how I do my hair etc. He'll say 'you look nice' but he's never said anything negative (prob knows I don't care what I look like).

Parentingwise, he just lets me get on with it.

Joint decisions like holidays, cars etc then we discuss it and usually go with what I have decided mainly because I'm right 😃.

My OH has no sense of aesthetic at all so would never venture an opinion on a particular item of clothing or haircut. He tells me when I look nice though. I even buy his clothes as he hates clothes shopping so much. It would be nice for him to be more into stuff like that so I could bounce ideas off him, especially when decorating the house, but on the plus side there are no clashes and I get it all my own way.

For other stuff like parenting, friends and life in general I do respect his opinion and he respects mine. We're fairly similar in most respects and can have civilised debates on stuff we don't agree on, although we agree on the essentials anyway.

Im lucky in we have pretty similar styles when it comes to body mods/clothes.

Like Atomic Pink he very rarely comments on anything so if he does I know it must really bother him.

I do take him shopping with me as he will give me a straight opinion on things like new glasses or outfits...and my thinking if he willing to be seen with wearing x then it must loom good lol.

I 'Listen'. We talk about it, he voices his opinion, I consider it and then I so as I please.

We have very different styles and opinions. And usually he thinks he won't like it (nose piercing, reddish hair, ears pierced several times over etc) but then he really likes it once I've got it.
