I was told at the hospital to give Joshua 60ml every 3 hours but on the Aptamil box it says 90ml for the first 2 weeks.
He cries all the time and I just want to know who's right!? I know every baby's different but for the first 2 weeks how much should I be giving him roughly?

By a week old Jasmine was eating 3oz every 3 hours. I would make up your bottles with 3-4oz and let him take as much as he wants... Some people will say to feed on demand, I fed every 3 hours because I found she was less colicky by doing this as it takes 2 hours to digest, and if their tummy is over loaded too much it can make colick worse.

My LO is on apatimil and we make up 90ml and he's been drinking it all the last few days!! your LO may be crying as he needs more? maybe make up a 90ml bottle and see how much he drinks? x

Olivia is on Aptamil too, and for each feed we make up 90mls - as it says on the carton.......and then we let her have as much as she wants of it. She sometimes has only 50mls, other times, she drains the whole bottle!!

I would say make up 90mls, then let your LO have what they want.

xx

Go up to 90mls and let him have as much as he wants. Niamh is already on 120mls of formula plus about 20mls of breast milk every feed. She was on 90mls of formula from day 5.

I agree with everyone else, make up a bigger feed and let your LO have how much he wants

I would make up a full bottle and just see how much he takes if there is no limit and then work out how much he needs.
