When my LO was on similac advance she usually ate between 60ml to 90 ml but 60 ml more often. I just switched her to similac sensitive to lactose and she is almost eating 100ml to 120ml. What should a 5 week old take in?

My little girl is nearly two weeks and will take between 90 and 110 ml x She is obciously a lot happier and comfortable on that milk x

I think it's different with every baby. My little girl is 5 weeks as well, and she drinking between 60-90ml feeds every 2-3 hours, for the most part. One time at night, she will sometimes sleep between 3.5-4 hours so I let her sleep rather than waking her. I don't worry about it too much either way because she wakens to feed on her own and she is gaining normally.

A poster at my doc's office stated that a newborn to 6 months (I believe) ought to eat 60-100mls per feed. We just had her weighed yesterday and she is doing great. If she doesn't want to eat, she won't, and frankly, I do not force her to save a bottle--they are pretty much tossed about an hour after beginning the feed, regardless of the amount she has consumed.

Wow, my 6 week old has been taking 150ml (5oz) bottles for around 2 weeks. He eats around every 3hrs give or take. He always drains the bottles too so sometimes is looking for a top up an hr or so later.

It's better to go by size than age. A 6 lb baby will obviously eat less than a 11 lb baby on average. You should be able to find suggestions based on how heavy your baby is rather than how old.

Look for other signs of health rather than amount- is you baby filling and wetting enough diapers? Is your baby gaining weigh well? Is your baby's length:weight ratio still good? Is your baby throwing up? Stuff like that. Since you switched to a sensitive formula, I'm guessing that your baby wasn't doing well on the previous one- this formula is probably more comfortable on your baby, so she's eating more.

My girl is four weeks today, and I've been giving her 5oz for a couple of weeks. But she only drinks about 3 or 4 oz. Better to give her more than she still be hungry. She wants feeding every 2 to 4 hours.
She was having 4oz, but she was 9lbs 1oz at birth.
