did your lo sleep at 6 weeks...some days archie seems only to be awake in the evening for a couple of hours and during feeds...all 7 a day lol...and other days he can just nap all day...i was wondering what the norm is for this age as i dont want to let him sleep all day and risk him being up half the night but equally i dont want to deprive him of sleep he needs

Hannah stayed up maybe an hour and than would sleep an hour or two at that age, than up another hour or so. She might have stayed up longer than an hour on occasion....but she slept a lot

also you'll find babies have sleepier days sometimes, it's never affected Hannah's night sleeping though

leyla still sleeps a lot, shes asleep now in her moses basket by my desk lol, she sleeps most of the day then i try and keep her awake for 2hrs before bed, just enough time for feed, bath, moisturise, sleepsuit, feed and bed

At 6 weeks I think Jasper was not sleepings nearly as much as he had been when he was first born. He was probably sleeping about 15 hours a day - including time he'd doze on the boobie. He would sleep from about 9pm till 5 am, with feeds in between, and then have a bunch of naps during the day - with awake periods up to 2 hours, but usually around 1 hour after a feed.
