how often do you clean and tidy your house?

I tidy every day. Hoover every other day, quick mop of the floors, wipe down the bathrooms... Do a big clean every week which includes a full bathroom scrub etc. And I change the sheets about twice a month.

I feel like im always cleaning haha.

I hoover at least 3 times a day, I clean my kitchen and bathroom every day. I tidy toys away in their places about four times in a day, pick up after the girls constantly, although I do enlist their help. Cleaning windows and doors is done once a fortnight, same as changing beds. I mop my kitchen and bathroom twice a week.

Constantly :dohh:

I give the bathroom and toilet a good scrub once a week. Dust every few days. Vacuum most days. Steam mop when I can be bothered and constantly tidy toys. Washing gets on top of me though. I'm good at washing it, not so good at folding and putting away. It's like a blink and it quadruples :haha:

I tidy every day I like everything to be in its place. The kitchen is always clean I would wipe the surfaces every day and if the cooker is dirty clean that as and when. I don't clean my floors as often as I should but I wash the area LO eats after every meal as he throws food on the floor. My bathrooms are a bit neglected too but to be honest none of it looks dirty (in my eyes anyway!)

Hoover and clean the kitchen and bathroom surface daily, dust, scrub the bathroom and map the floors every few days. Washing as and when a loads ready and sheets weekly.

How do you people have time?! Thankfully we're out the house 4 days a week so it doesn't get that messy anyway, we have family time on the weekend but I don't work Mondays so they are my admin days to tidy and do laundry. I try to Hoover, clean the bathroom once a week, dust and polish once a month ish. Our house doesn't feel unclean lol, but probably isn't the cleanest on the street! But I just don't have time being out the house 8-6 4 days a week.

How about some of you girls come to mine and help out, you all sound very orgasnised.
The answer for me is beds changed once a week, hoovering as and when (I work from home in a creative field and tend to make a bit of a mess depending on whether it's a sewing day, painting day etc. Keepsakes make a lot of mess with the cutting so it could be that I hoover three or four times during the day, but only in the work room. I try to keep the rest of the house tidy on an ongoing basis rather than having to do a clean up. (I get clients dropping in all the time)
I would love to have an immaculate house, but work simply does not allow for that!

I struggle. My upstairs is appalling. I tidy the front room and kitchen everyday. The down stairs bathroom is always clean incase we have guests.

I cannot manage to keep on top of everything! Belles room is tidy. The bathroom we bath her in is clean but messy. And I don't even venture in to the en suite anymore....

I'm awful.

Thought I would share a funny and TRUE story of how I learnt my lesson about keeping my house relatively tidy. This really happened when my children were little.

My Father in law called me on the phone. He said "Next month we are coming to stay with you, We'll be with you at lunch time on the 25th"
I put the phone down looked at my extremely messy house and thought to myself, I really must sort this messy place out, i'd be so ashamed if he could see it as it is.
Thinking is as far as I got. A month was plenty of time to get sorted and if i did manage to tidy up it would only be tidy for a day before it all went to pieces again.
The month became a fortnight and then a week and I thought I really must do something about the mess, but I didn't!
Five days before they came I thought very hard about sorting out and did a bit of the huge washing pile and then the next day I was invited by my mum to go shopping. It's fine I thought, there is plenty of time.
Three days to go and I went to help a friend paint her house.
Two days to go and I went to watch the sports day at school.
One day to go. I woke up and fully intended to get on with it, but a new consignement of Beads arrived and they looked far better than the tidying up! it's ok, I told myself you can tidy up tonight!...... well i could have except that I had forgotten about the parent evening.
Never mind, said the laid back me.... They aren't coming until lunch time. :coffee:
The following morning I was up at 6am. Got the kids up, breakfasted and dressed and then sent them on their way. I began to tidy up the bedrooms. Folding, packing, dusting, shoving rubbish into bags. This is going really well I told myself as I piled the black bin bags onto the landing. There would be plenty of time to tidy up and then get a shower and get dressed. After all it was only half past eight and I was well on the way to having the bedrooms sorted.
Now for the down stairs with all the mess, last nights pots piled in the sink etc. (and believe me when i say my home is messy I mean it!)
At quarter past nine I was just going to go down stairs to tackle the mess when I looked out of the window and saw to my horror my father in law and mother in law walking up the drive...... They were here and I wasn't ready.

The kitchen and living room are constantly being cleaned, as they get messy the quickest!
I vacuum living room daily, rest of house once a week, clean bathrooms 2-3 times a week, polish 1x a week.
I tidy as I go along most if the time-ie dishes washed and away straight after eating, bathroom cleaned and sorted as soon as I get lo out of bath.
If I don't do it straight away i lose momentum!
Xx

Ha ha! My in laws do the same-so if they say 1pm I joke to oh they mean 6am! Xx

I tidy every day (usually a couple of times after my hurricane toddler!), sweep/hoover and mop downstairs every other day, clean the bathroom and change bed sheets once a week, washing once a day in good weather, every other day in bad weather, washing up gets done twice a day - once after lunch and brekkie and once after tea, the kitchen gets a good wipe down after tea as well. Its never ending!

That said there are certain things that really need doing more often but don't get done enough...cleaning the bedrooms is one!

Every single day and there's always tons more to do, it really never seems to end.

Every day: Wash dishes twice (no dishwasher), wipe down kitchen surfaces with antibac
Every 2 days: Mop/sweep kitchen floor, wipe down bathroom surfaces
Every 3 days: Vacuum, general tidy up, clean toilet, clean/change bins
Every week: Big tidy up (whole house) and clean of everything including dusting
Every 2 weeks: Change bedsheets and scrub between tiles and sink drainers with antimould/limescale

This should probably all be more regular but we both work long hours at the moment.

Not as often as I should! I sweep the kitchen floor after breakfast every day because Maria spills her muesli but when she's not here I don't bother. I clean the kitchen worktops and hobs every day after washing the dishes. I vacuum maybe once a week, sometimes twice if Maria has been very messy and sometimes not at all if I'm lazy and just sweep. I mop almost every time I vacuum. I've dusted about twice since I moved here  I clean the toilet when the mood strikes me. I do laundry pretty much every day though, I'm good at that at least.
