Just curious, really. My baby is just over five months old and still wakes up every two to four hours to eat. The longest stretch that he's ever done is six hours, but it's rare. His bedtime is between 7:00 and 8:30, and he wakes up at 6:15.

Thanks in advance from a tired mama!

DS is 12 weeks and he goes down for the night between 7 and 8, sometimes he wants a small feed at 10 if he wakes up when I change his nappy, then he is up at 5ish for a feed and it's pretty hard to settle him after that, sometimes he will go down again till 7 ish but usually he is up for the day 5-5:30. This is improvement though till last week he would wake at 4 for a feed and that would be him up for the day. If it helps he is 12lb10 and has five 6oz feeds during the day although he doesn't always finish all his feeds.

Probably not what you want to hear but mine is nearly 13 months and still wakes at least twice, usually wanting to comfort nurse back to sleep! I'm used to it now.

(*knock on wood*)

DD started sleeping for 10-12 hours at 3 months. At that point, we were putting her down for bed around 8:30, and we'd wake her for one last bottle at 11:30 before going to sleep. She'd wake up for her next feeding around 8:30-9:00 the next morning. She'd sleep the whole way through if we let her, but she wasn't gaining enough weight to allow that to continue. We dropped the 11:30 feeding around 6 or 7 months when she was getting slightly larger bottles during the day. She goes to sleep around 10:00-10:30 now and sleeps until sometime between 8:00-9:30. She wakes up once or twice a night several days a week, but not because she's hungry. Poor kiddo is teething.

DD was a big baby at birth (born at 41+1 at 9 lbs, 5 oz), but she's always been hovering around the 50th percentile since her 2 month doctor visit. Her doctor said she's growing appropriately at every appointment.

Hang in there. It will eventually get better. :hugs:

Please don't hate me, but my DS dropped night feedings at 6 weeks... but he was like that from the beginning. In the hospital the nurses were freaking out bc it had been 6 hours and I couldn't get him to eat. He's now 4 months and sleeps from about 10:30pm-9:30am. I would try feeding him before you go to bed yourself. Then you'll buy yourself a few more hours. Also do you rush right in and feed him when he wakes? Try letting him fuss for a bit first or try popping a paci in his mouth and see if he settles back down before automatically feeding him.

My lo is 9 weeks now. I like him to be asleep by 9 which he does most nights then u take him up to bed with me at 10 he will wake anywhere between 12 and 2 feed back to sleep and then depending on when he woke before anywhere between 3 and 5 then he sort of cluster feeds until 8 but he doesn't like to be awake properly until 9. With my daughter she woke every 2 hours until a year and only slept through at 2 xx

Mine is 11 months and usually wakes once or twice a night. The first time is usually to feed but the second time is just random.

Aww! Hang in there! mine is 4 months and she wakes up 1-2 times a night to feed. I do however dreamfeed her before going to bed so she lasts a little longer usually between feeds that way.

Is you baby getting all his feeds in during the day? Some babies don't so maybe he's just trying to make up for it during the night.

Each baby is different though so I guess it needs patience!

4.5 months and goes down at 7ish and wakes at 3 or 4am to feed then back to bed till 7ish

Owen is 10 1/2 months and is up every three hours on the dot for a bottle. He goes to bed between 6:30-7:30. Then is up for the day around 6:30.

Vera is 1 month old, bedtime between 10:30-11pm (we're night owls). She sleeps between 4-6 hours, and then wakes up for comfort nursing, which takes all of 5 minutes. She then sleeps until 9:30, 10ish.

We can't lay her down too early. If she goes to bed early she's ready to rock and roll at 5am in the morning, and we can't handle that, lol.

Almost 1 and never does. Hasn't since she was 8-12 weeks.

Seems I'm the only one still doing this at 13 months! :nope:

Leo is 4 months and wakes once, but his sister woke a lot more as a baby and only stopped waking at night when I night weaned her while pregnant with her brother.

My first didn't sttn until he was around 18months.

With both of mine I have found that it isn't consistent. DS2 was only waking once to feed from quite early on whereas DS1 woke 2-hourly for months and months. DS2 seems to be going through a phase of unsettled sleep at the moment but it doesn't worry me too much as I know it'll improve at some point and may get worse again at another point. My boys know how to mix it up :winkwink:

DS is 5.5 weeks and sleeps a max of 3 hours. I wouldn't mind except he takes an hour each night to be put back to bed.

At 8 weeks dropped to 7.00pm bed feed around 4ish and up at 8.00am

As of a week ago bed at 7.00pm up at 7.00am dropping night feed.

DS1 slept 7.00pm to 7.00pm at 10 weeks so been blessed with 2 good sleepers.

Ds is almost 29 months old (will be 2.5 in September) and still wakes 3 times a night to nurse. He was waking every 2 hours on average until 22 months then he started waking about twice a night. When my milk came back after his sister was born he started waking again every 2 or 3 hours. Right now he's waking more than she does.

Dd is almost 7 weeks old and wakes twice a night. She's been cluster feeding in the evenings and then going about 4 or 5 hours then nursing and going 4 or so more hours. She then wakes every hour or so until I get up. Dh is home for the summer (he's a teacher) so he gets up with ds and I stay in bed with dd.

Sleep has greatly improved in the past few days. Dd is sleeping better than ds ever did. I'm not expecting it to continue but I am hoping. :)

7.5 months old and has been sleeping through since 3 weeks, but we were waking him to feed before then. He has a bath and goes down at 7:30, then I wake him up at 7am.
