How old is your baby and how often does s/he wake at night to feed?

9 months old and wakes once a night, my sister in law looked after him last night and he woke up twice the first time he stayed up over an hour... oh dear!! 😴

9 months goes to bed between 630-730, feeds once around 430-530, then up for the day around 630. Doing 2 naps through the day right now.

4.5 months and sleeps from 8PM-6AM most nights. During growth spurts, though, she'll wake around 4 to eat and go right back down.

Thank you all for responding.
It's amazing how different our babies are. And I'm envious of the ladies with babies that sleep so well. :haha:

DS - 7.5 months. Down at 7:00, wakes anytime between 11:00-1:00 for a feed then again at 5:00...which is when he starts his day! :coffee:

I have been known to also walk him around the garden at 3:30am because he's wide awake :dohh:

Just curious, really. My baby is just over five months old and still wakes up every two to four hours to eat. The longest stretch that he's ever done is six hours, but it's rare. His bedtime is between 7:00 and 8:30, and he wakes up at 6:15.

Thanks in advance from a tired mama!

Are you exclusively Breast feeding? I'm wondering because I am and was wondering when a baby sleeps though the night. My son is only 6 weeks. I know I have a long way to go but i would love to get 5 hours straight at some point.

I'm so sorry that your 5 month old is still not sleeping very long.

Vera is 1 month old, bedtime between 10:30-11pm (we're night owls). She sleeps between 4-6 hours, and then wakes up for comfort nursing, which takes all of 5 minutes. She then sleeps until 9:30, 10ish.

We can't lay her down too early. If she goes to bed early she's ready to rock and roll at 5am in the morning, and we can't handle that, lol.

How do you get her back to bed so quick?? It takes me 1-2 hours to get my son back to bed. I wouldn't mind waking up twice a night if he was back to bed quick!

7.5 months old and has been sleeping through since 3 weeks, but we were waking him to feed before then. He has a bath and goes down at 7:30, then I wake him up at 7am.

PLEASE tell me how you do it?! Maybe its just him though.....

So envious!!!!

All babies are so different. My girlie is 7 weeks today and just started going back to sleep quickly in the past few days. Your little guy will get there. Even though my son always woke a lot he was back asleep again within 5 minutes most times. We bed share and I nurse laying down. Little girlie is just getting used to that so most times I still get up with her. As she gets older she will get bigger and better at it. Good luck!

I'd love to be able to say it's because we're perfect parents but that'd be a huge fib  we're just strict with his routine because we have to be. We're having our second in a few months and my mum only just thought to mention how much I loved my sleep, and how much my younger brother refused to go down. All depends on the baby. Luckily our first fitted right in :)

Now that I'm back to work, Leo woke somewhere around 2 or 3 times. He hardly took the bottle during my work day. I'm thinking he's either going to have to get used to the bottle, or reverse cycle his nursing... which seems to be what he's doing.

Almost 6 months and wakes once to nurse 8 hours after going to sleep. She falls back to sleep immediately after nursing but if I put her back in her bed she wakes hourly after that. So we co-sleep after she wakes for her night feed and she sleeps for another 3 or 4 hours, nursing on and off.

Dd2 is 10 months and has no night feeds. She stopped having them regularly at 4 months and ever since its just been the odd one for comfort (teething etc) she is ff and sleeps 7-7 or thereabouts.

My daughter still wakes up once a night for a bottle and is nearly 1!
Up until very recently she woke up twice for feeds.
She literally wants a bum change and bottle and goes back to sleep. So its not too bad..
My son was a nightmare. He stopped wanting a bottle from a very young age but woke up constantly and wouldn't settle for love nor money. He still wakes very occasionally in the night now. Yeahy!

13 weeks, she goes down for the night anywhere between 7 and 9pm, which can take anything from 15 minutes to 2 hours to achieve. Then wakes around 1am and around 5am for feeds. Wakes for the day at around 7-8am which I need her to do as I have to get ds to school. She is breastfed, when she wakes I go into her room (which is a dressing room to ours), keep it pitch black, don't talk to her, pick her up, stick her on the boob and when she's done which is usually after around 10 minutes, put her straight back in the crib. I don't wind her. She's usually either very drowsy or asleep and goes straight back off. Ds slept through once I put him on solids at 17 weeks (doctors advice as he had bad reflux) but then teething messed it all up and he woke for at least one feed a night from 6-18 months. I'm going to put dd on solids at 17 weeks too, she's 98th percentile and needs it! X

My 10 month old regularly wakes for a feed. We cosleep so it's not a problem at all for us, other than that I'm housebound from bedtime onwards! I don't mind though. I know she won't be this age forever :flower:

She always seems to be going through something...sleep regression, developmental leap, teething, separation anxiety... this baby business ain't simple!

I envy those of you who are getting a solid 7-7 with no sleep training!! Although I've gotta say - and not just to console myself - I think I'd really miss the cuddles if she did sleep in her cot from 7-7!

My first woke 2-3 times a night to feed all the way through his first year easy, he never cluster fed at night but he reverse cycled - took little milk during the day when I was working full time, so he nursed a lot at night.

He STILL wakes 1 time to feed usually. Sometimes I feed him, sometimes I tell him to go back to sleep (and he does).

DD is 2.5 months and has been a great sleeper, sleeping through (5-6 hours, but still a wake to feed then go back to sleep) from day 1 almost, and some nights recently truely STTN, from 11 pm to around 7 am.

Both EBF. Every baby is different!

Since the day I commented on here my little man has slept all night 7pm til 7 am ish he must not like being talked about haha 😅 woohoo (bet I just jinxed it writing this though!)

Nearly 11 months, has final bottle at 8, then straight to bed. Wakes at 6 for a bottle, then we nap in bed until 8am and start the day. :D
