How reliable are PH strips to test for amniotic fluid?

I went to the bathroom about an hour ago and after I was done, wiped, and got up I felt some fluid drip out, a pretty decent amount. I can't tell where it came from though. I touched and it felt wet at the entrance of my vagina, but I'm sure it is possible for the urine to have slid back as I was standing up, if it was urine. I'm freaking out after some abdominal pain last night and contractions which seemed to stop. The fluid seemed to not have any odor at all.

I was at the hospital 4 weeks ago to check for leaking fluids, and it turned out I had some type of infection, like yeast, that collects in the back of your cervix, so whenever I'd lay down for a while and get up, it sort of dripped out. I'd feel like a full on idiot going back to the hospital again.

I read online about the Ph strips. How reliable are they?

i wouldnt go by the strips id call your midwife and tell her ur concerns. The infection maybe back

I left a message because I didn't want to wait on hold. It's usually quicker that way.

It wouldn't matter if I had another of the infection, doc said that it'd clear up on its own or he could give me meds, I opted for the meds anyway.

I'm wigging out here.

I'd go straight back to the hospital and get another swab done xx

I never knew about the ph strips when mine were leaking... and you can't rely on how it smells either as it's different for everyone (for me it was ammonia, for others it's sweet or has no smell) :(
