How soon after beta drop do you pass the baby?

Just wondering really to put my mind at rest.
Usually, I don't have betas, I just get a positive test, bleed then it's negative, this last loss has been complicated.

I was discharged 23rd March with the beta being at 16. I bled from 27th March until 4th April, presumed this was going to be a normal cycle. On CD17 I started bleeding (yesterday) and today, although quite light bleeding now - I have passed a few very small clots and one a little larger.

Just wondering if it could be the baby, coming out at least 2-3 weeks after the betas dropped to 16? I don't usually have clots, thanks.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My miscarriage was a bit complicated, but after almost 3 months and my hcg being "negative" , I still passed some pregnancy tissue. So it's possible.

My bhcg dropped from 3076 to 2504 between last tues and thurs. I am trying to stay positive while waiting since I'm only 6 weeks plus and I have read stories about hcg being unreliable. But, I would also like to be mentally prepared. I decided to schedule an us in 2 weeks since I would like to wait till 8 weeks anyway before writing my baby off. My question is, once you know your hcg is dropping , how soon do u actually get a mc?

It's really hard to say. Mine happened naturally, but I know lots of women who had to have a d&c because the baby wouldn't pass on its own. I'm sorry you're having to go through this.

Hi. I'm really sorry for your loss.
I'm one of those ladies where my miscarriage wouldn't happen naturally. I found out at the 12 week scan my baby had died around 10 weeks. I waited for another 7 weeks and went in for the erpc. I gave it a good chance.
After the erpc the surgeon said I probably would never have miscarried naturally as everything was difficult to remove.

So to answer my own qn, my friend read up and told me usually within a week. In my case I mc 6 days from the known hcg drop day
