How soon did you become pregnant after a d&c??

I have a quick question for you'll.. How soon did you become pregnant after a d&c???

I had a D&C on 21st March this year and my periods returned in May & i fell pregant again that month ! I'm now 10 weeks x

They say you are more fertile after a D&C. Some doctors tell you that you can TTC right away, while others tell you to wait a cycle in between. I met with two doctors after mine and they both told me something different. What I could come up with on my own through internet research is that if you TTC right away your uterine lining might not be thick enough yet to hold a baby and you could mc... but that's when you are most fertile. If you wait your lining should be thicker (back to normal) and is better to support a pregnancy.

I personally decided to wait a cycle then started trying again.

The reason they tell you not to TTC straight after a miscarriage is that alot of women fall pregnant before their next period, and this makes it hard for the doctors to date your new pregnancy

Luckily i fell pregnant my first cycle after the miscarriage (even though it took 2 months for my periods to return) and fingers crossed everything is fine so far. I had a private scan at the weekend and 10 weeks & things are perfect

I had 2 periods and fell on the 3rd cycle, unfortunately ended in mc at 6 wks x

It took us 3 cycles of TTC to get pregnant. I have PCOS too though so I didn't ovulate one of those cycles. Also the month we got pregnant, I took Clomid for the first time.

I did a medical version, where I took the pills instead of going the surgical route. I did that in Feb. of this year, and got pregnant in May.

Well for me it was STRAIGHT AWAY!! I had an emergency D&C and blood transfusion on the 18th June...I was literally at deaths door due to losing so much blood. At the time my HCG was almost 20,000 so I thought it would take a good few weeks for my cycle to get back on track.
3 weeks after D&C I kind of thought I might have been fertile although I wasn't using OPK's etc so we DTD a few times, thinking nothing would happen.
On the 9th July I had a negative HPT just to make sure all the HCG was out of my system and my cycle was back to normal and when roughly to expect AF.
16th July - felt my boobs were really sore...so did a HPT and was positive! did 3 more HPT's and all positive.
Got a blood test a few days later to confirm it was a new pregnancy.

The reason we decided to NTNP was because I will be 41 in January and time is ticking...I don't have 3 months to wait....never mind a month

hi guys.im stil new to this.what is clomid?after my d &c in may i only got my period after 7 months.but ever since then it has been regular.i also have pcos.however this month im 2wks late on my period and i am so scard to do the test.is it posible that i could have fallen pregnant even with the pcos so soon.

Straight away! I had my EPRC in Nov and confirmed new pregnancy in December, no Period inbetween.

We only BD twice (after i thought I'd ovuldated, as was plannimg on waiting for one cycle before trying)...but it seems I must have OV'd later than i thought!

Everything looking fine so far, lining nice and thick and saw the baby and heart beat last Friday.

The only nightmare is dating, I have no clue when I Ov'd, but basing dates roughly on when we BD'd...until I get a 12 week scan

I got pregnant less than two months after a D&C, had my first son nine months later.

I had d&c begining of June but it took me 8 weeks to stop bleeding after it so didn't start ttc until sept cycle I had 2 cycles and then got BFP mid Nov. scan next week when hopefully I will be 12+4, I have everything crossed that all will be fine this time!!!'

Hey ladies.unfortunately i havent fallen pregnant yet after my d&c.we are trying too tho,but i have pcos.after my mc i never got my period for 7months.so august last year was my 1st period after my d&c,since then ive been regular,but i noticd this pas 3 days iv got a pinkish brown spotting.i was due 4my period around the 27th dec,and i stil havent gotten it yet.can any1 help me with any feedbak.im like on the edge wit hope n fear.

I've had too MCs and both I had to have a dnc at 12 weeks. The first time it took me a while bf I got my period back (i took misoprolol at first - didnt clear everything out so had to go for dnc like 2 or 3 mths later - sucked. I would always recommend dnc over the drug). But after dnc in June, got period back in aug - very irregular for a couple months then I think as soon as I had a normal period I got prego the next mth. Sadly mc in may.

So second dnc in late may, period back in July, and preg again oct. So I think 3 mths after I got my period again.

I kind of wonder if how far along the pregnancy was in the mc has something to do with it. It seems like the farther are along you are when u loose it - the longer it takes for your body to get going again. I could be wrong. Just seemed that way to me.
