I took my daughter for her 2.5 year check a few weeks ago and she was fine apart from apparently being really short - she was under the 0.4th centile line.

She is 30 months and 82cms tall. Her weight was on the 25th centile and head size was 50th centile so she is out of proportion.

I have to go back in 3 months to see if she has grown at all and if she hasnt we may need to go and have more tests to see why she is so behind height wise.

Anyway I was just wondering if you have a toddler how tall are they!

Awe hun- try not to worry. My niece has always been on the smaller side of the scale- she's 7mos older than my LO and my LO is just about to catch up with her height/weight wise- and my LO is 50% for height and 25% for weight.

Long as your LO is growing and healthy (even on her own scale)- I'm sure all is just fine :hugs: I know it doesn't help- but my one friends LO was always well under the charts while my other friends LO was well over! So they can certainly vary a lot. Hope you get reassurance though soon!

And- after converting CM to Inches- your LO is right around the same height as my LO at her 30mos. So apparently all charts vary as well. Hope that's of some comfort. :hugs:

My son who just turned 2 is 36", or around 93cm. he's pretty tall, though for his age.

I think my LO is around that height. Everyone says she looks tall for her age until she is stood next to others of the same age.
Some are just naturally short. I am only 5 ft tall myself.

Thomas was about 90cm. Sophie is 21 months and is 81.5cm at the moment. At 2.5 years I was 82cm, I am very short.

Paige was 95cm at 2yrs 7mths.

She was always quite tall as a baby/young toddler but now she sits just below 75th centil (I think!)

Mine is 28 months and 85cm. She's on the shorter side but she always has been. Has your LO always been on the lower percentile for height?

Ciara was 88cm at her 2 year check a couple of weeks ago. She's 27 months. We get told a lot that she's tall but her height is actually bang on average.

I was surprised at her weight, which came out slightly above average. The kid barely eats!

28 months and 85cm here

He's one of the shortest in our little group and doesn't seem to be growing very fast, I don't mind as clothes last us longer!!

He's on the 50th centile for weight, not sure about height or head tho

Just checked the red book and he's on the 9th for height, so there is two %ile difference, Same as your little girl. I've never had anyone comment on it, sounds like she's fine to me just a petite girl :)

madison is 28 months and 86cm- she is short but always has been on the smaller side to be honest... aslong as shes growing healthy i wouldn't worry

Aww sorry I am no help here, i hope everything is fine (I'm sure it is)
I love petite babies anyway.

This has shocked me though, rio is 13 months and at his 12 month jabs was 80cms!

thanks for the replies!
no she was 50th centile at birth and again at 14 months so its just that in the last year she hasnt grown much at all!

DD was around 82cms at 24 months I think and is now average height at 111cm at 5, her weight at that point would have been higher than her length but has evened itself out (she does have a big head though!). DS though is 88 cms at 21 months si is a lot taller but still with a big head. She might just be due a growth spurt!

I hope I have measured my other children and compared them to the chart and the vary fro 25th to 75th for height!
hopefully she will catch up

Just to show they can be off the scale in the other direction, mine is 104cm and has been for the past 6 months. I'm just moving her into age 4-5 clothes. She's 2 for goodness sake! Your lo is at the bottom of the spectrum, mine is at the top, if she's well and healthy in herself I'm sure she's fine x
