I am posting this in hopes of helping someone who is feeling sick during their pregnancy.
I have not had any morning sickness and I am 7 weeks pregnant, but a couple of days ago, I was swearing off all foods and eating just whatever 'sounded good' ....which was all unhealthy. Processed foods, crackers, eggos, granola bars, breads, bagels. all empty calories with little nutrients.
Today I started my alkaline diet after MUCH research on the topic, saying that a diet that is too acidic actually might cause or make morning sickness worse! It totally makes sense....(google it)
Basically what I've been eating as far as foods go...
-watermelon... A LOT (I read that it can help nausea on the spot bc of the alkaline, also packed with TONS of minerals)
-cucumbers with hummus
-hard boiled eggs
-peanut butter and apple slices
-fruit smoothies with pea protein & vitamin and mineral supplements that I have been taking for a year
-red raspberry tea
-chlorophyll in my water.
Other things are....
-taking two probiotics 3 times daily (to put good bacteria in the stomach)
-a few sips of apple cider vinegar (which is GREAT for you and is known to relieve MS)
-colloidal silver on an empty stomach- helps balance the h. pylori in the stomach (theories say that this is the cause of MS too)
-liquid b12 vitamins twice daily
-putting keifer in my smoothies, a GOOD bacteria that helps balance h. pylori
**** I have done tons of research on this subject and has seemed to help many women, even with excessive sickness. I am not a doctor, just obsessed with natural remedies and I take zero medication for anything unless absolutely necessary. I was determined to find ways to avoid morning sickness.
If you can, SLOWLY cut out all or most acidic foods and you could see a difference in how you feel!!!
SIDE NOTE:
YOU MAY BE DEFICIENT IN MAGNESIUM, B VITAMINS OR HAVE A BAD LIVER THAT IS CAUSING MS! THESE TIPS COULD HELP YOU, OR JUST INCREASING MAGNESIUM AND B VITAMINS!
I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!!!!
LET'S ENJOY OUR FIRST TRIMESTER!
