is there an easy way? im worrying mine is. my boy feeds like 5 mins a time n then starts fussy like theres no more, well not fussing just lating un latching relatching n so on. the after a while he will just stay unlatched, most the time hes fine n happy sometimes he will cry , and its reallt getting me worried ive only ever had to offer 1 breast per feed n lately im having to offer both as its like theres not enough. he has plenty n i mean plenty of dirty (wet too) mappies but surely 5 mins a feed is nothing then with the kinda 'fussing' he feeds about every 1.5-2 hours sometimes longer if he has a big nap but never really more then 3. along with the worry is the fact he was a good gainer until recently where he only put on 4oz in 4 weeks and hv seemed concerned, she reweighed him 2 days later and he had put on 2oz so she was happy to leave it a week but im worried

any advice deeply appreciated :flower:

The best way to tell input is by checking the output! You say he's having lots of wet and dirty nappies, so that's brilliant. He really wouldn't be if your supply was poor. 5 minutes a time has been normal for my (not so) little one since he was tiny. Try not to worry :)

Yes lots of dirty nappies, every nappy is always quite wet, we use cloth nappies and they are always soaked, and we get normally a dirty nappy every nappy change or every other, sometimes a little less but this is normally the amount, so a good 3 or more a day!
he tends to fil his nappy as hes feeding haha!

ah glad quick feedings are normal I figured the older he got and more he wanted the longer he would feed to get it all. My daughter only breastfed for a few months due to failure to thrive so I am a bit more 'if I think a problem I worry' atm. I wasn'y too worried about the lack of weight gain as he had gained even if a little and I read it can really slow down after first few months so I left that, but it was the quick feedings and fussing that got to me the most, maybe I am just stressing for nothing.

He is also drooling like crazy so maybe he's teething?!

thanks for your reply :)
