How to use basal thermometer when..

When I'm waking all night with a baby? I know you're supposed to take your temp when you wake up in the morning but my lo has recently decided that 4:30am is morning time and sometimes I'm not sure I'm sleeping at 3hr intervals before that... am I SOL here?

If he wakes up at 4:30am, I would try then. Worse comes to worse, your temps will be off and not reliable but i would still try your best, it might still work

I have insomnia and wake up between 3 and 4 each night...that's when I take my temp. Better than nothing I figure. And once you wake up sleep isn't the same.

I was the exact same after having my first and my temps were all over the place so then i started to take my temp vaginally and it was alot more stable even with broken sleep and was able to pinpoint ovulation
